Timely deploying guidance documents and instructions from the Customs Department on customs supervision and management in accordance with regulations; strengthening management, inspection and customs supervision of goods brought into, stored and taken out of warehouses, yards and locations; promptly handling errors in the VNACCS/VCIS Automatic Customs Clearance System under the direction of the Customs Department, contributing to facilitating businesses and individuals participating in import and export activities in the management area...

As a result, in May, there were 406 enterprises and 2 business households participating in import-export activities at the units (of which Dong Thap province had 133 enterprises; An Giang province had 218 enterprises, Kien Giang province had 55 enterprises and 2 business households). The total number of declarations registered for procedures was 7,891, with import-export turnover reaching 253.4 million USD. Also in May, there were nearly 14.4 thousand vehicles entering and exiting the country; more than 230 thousand people entering and exiting the country.

In addition, to complete the assigned state budget revenue target, the Department has issued a Plan to implement the 2025 state budget revenue collection tasks; directed units to continue to synchronously implement solutions to facilitate trade, improve the effectiveness of state management, prevent revenue loss in implementing the 2025 state budget revenue collection task, strive to complete the budget revenue collection task with the highest results... Thanks to that, in the month, the state budget revenue reached nearly 89.4 billion VND, accumulated from the beginning of the year more than 373.1 billion VND; reaching 35.2% compared to the assigned legal target (1,060 billion VND), reaching 29.73% compared to the assigned target (1,255 billion VND).

Also in May, the Department discovered and arrested 7 cases of administrative procedure violations, handled 6 administrative violations (fined 33 million VND); received 6 administrative procedures requesting recognition of locations for actual inspection of import and export goods at construction sites or production facilities; received 112 online public service records...

Strictly implement the work of determining value and commodity codes.

Regarding the work program for June 2025, Deputy Head of the Sub-Department Bui Thi Thuy Giang said that for customs supervision and management, the Sub-Department will maintain good implementation of the VNACCS/VCIS Automatic Customs Clearance System; promptly implement new instructions and guidance on the customs clearance system according to the new organizational model.

Border gate/outside border gate customs units must properly carry out procedures and business processes as prescribed for import and export goods and means of transport; create maximum convenience for enterprises on the basis of compliance with the law and minimize risks. Continue to monitor and promptly handle difficulties of Customs Sub-Departments in implementing the Customs Law; Foreign Trade Law and guiding documents; Tax Management Law; Export Tax Law, Import Tax and guiding documents. Strengthen management of investment goods, processing, export production, goods transferred from border gates, transit goods, goods exported from bonded warehouses to ensure convenience and strictness.

In tax management, it is predicted that the state budget revenue in 2025 will be unpredictable. Therefore, in addition to measures to encourage and attract businesses to complete procedures to generate revenue, the Department will pay close attention to the work of determining value, commodity codes, consulting and strengthening the implementation of anti-state budget revenue loss. Analyze, evaluate and synthesize businesses according to the request to inspect the situation of using tax-free imported goods; propose a list of businesses to conduct inspections.

Regarding customs control, the Branch will continue to strengthen the coordination between the Customs Control Team and the Customs units at the border gate/outside the border gate. At the same time, review and sign the regulations on coordination of activities, maintain the coordination between the Customs Branch of Region XX and the functional forces in the area such as Border Guard, Police, Market Management and local authorities to control the situation and improve the effectiveness of the fight against all types of crimes according to the authority...
