Recently, the Center for Social Work - VocationalEducation for the Disabled in Ha Tinh province, in collaboration with Hanoi E Hospital, Zhi-Shan Foundation (Taiwan), Vietnam Children's Fund, Vietnam Children's Fund and several other organizations, has implemented a screening program for congenital heart disease, cleft lip, cleft palate, motor, urinary and digestive disabilities... for children in especially difficult circumstances in the districts of Huong Son, Can Loc, Thach Ha and Ky Anh.

Through initial screening of 707 children, doctors requested intervention and indicated surgery for 72 children, of which 7 children had congenital heart surgery, 58 children had cleft lip and palate surgery, and 7 children had motor defect surgery.
In cases where children are indicated for surgery, the Provincial Center for Social Work - Vocational Education for the Disabled will guide the preparation of documents, call on organizations and individuals to sponsor 100% of the cost of accommodation, travel, surgery costs and organize the transportation of children for surgery.

Screening and early detection of malformations will help children receive early surgery, creating conditions for them to live healthy, study, play and live normally. This is a humanitarian activity of great significance, contributing practically to the protection and care of children in especially difficult circumstances in the province. Through this, we call on the community to spread information about the program, introduce cases in need of help and, if possible, accompany the children by supporting financially, with time or expertise. Every small action of organizations and individuals will contribute to changing the lives of children.
