Lao Cai Copper Smelting Branch produces more than 10 thousand tons of copper cathode plates

Mr. Doan Vu Long, Deputy Director of Lao Cai Copper Smelting Branch, said that since the beginning of the year, both copper smelting factories of the unit have maintained continuous and stable production, with basic targets all reaching and exceeding the operating plan.

Specifically, in the first 4 months of 2024, both factories produced more than 10 thousand tons of copper cathode sheets, reaching 33.56% of the yearly plan; more than 297 kg of gold bars, reaching 31.19% of the yearly plan; more than 625 kg of silver bars, reaching 34.11% of the yearly plan; more than 43.2 thousand tons of sulfuric acid, reaching 33.78% of the yearly plan; 4,507 tons of artificial gypsum, reaching over 50% of the yearly plan; 43 tons of copper sulfate, reaching 21.5% of the yearly plan.

Manufactured products were consumed relatively well and prices increased compared to the same period last year, especially copper cathode plates, sulfuric acid, etc.

The production process of the two units did not cause any occupational safety or environmental incidents. The regimes and benefits of workers were fully implemented, maintaining jobs, ensuring security, welfare and stable income for workers.
