The resort has gradually realized this orientation through many practical actions, including the success of the journey to make a plastic waste-free hotel.

However, sustainable development requires not only environmental commitments but also changes in the way of operation to improve service quality, build a professional working environment and increase competitiveness. Therefore, digital transformation is no longer an option but an inevitable path.

“We realized that the traditional operating model revealed many shortcomings such as slow work processing, difficulties in training successors due to lack of documents and standardization. In addition, internal culture was not synchronized between departments; data management and retrieval were fragmented, mostly based on paper records,” said Mr. Tran Thai Do.

After internal consensus, the resort determined that digital transformation does not start with technology but with mindset. This journey is implemented based on three main contents: Transforming mindset from working in the traditional way to smart working mindset with the goal of being lean and efficient; encouraging the team to “rethink the way of doing things”, asking the question of how to save time, optimize resources while still ensuring quality?

The unit standardizes and digitizes all data, deploys internal management software, form automation tools; tests AI applications in data analysis to serve decision-making... initially bringing practical results.

“Digital transformation is not a destination but a continuous process of innovation, learning and adaptation. A new corporate culture is gradually forming: “think before you act”, “do it right the first time” and “each person is truly an important link” - said Mr. Tran Thai Do.

It is known that Silk Sense Hoi An River Resort is the first resort in Quang Nam to implement a zero-plastic waste hotel, meeting "5-star" standards and being awarded the "Travelife Gold for Accommodation Sustainability" certificate from the international organization for sustainable tourism Travelife, the "VITA Greeen" certificate - Green Tourism" from the Vietnam Tourism Association...
