On May 28 and 29, 2025, at Chuong Pagoda, one of the ancient and sacred pagodas of Hung Yen city, the procession and enshrinement of Buddha's relics will take place. This is a grand occasion that attracts a large number of monks, nuns, Buddhists and tourists from all over the world to attend. In order to ensure the solemnity and safety of the worship ceremony, the Organizing Committee has announced a specific schedule and necessary regulations that people and Buddhists should be aware of.
According to information from the Organizing Committee, at around 9:00 to 9:30 a.m. on May 28, the Buddha's relics will be carried from Quang Ninh province to the Cho Gao intersection (Hung Yen city). From here, the procession will carry out the relics procession ceremony through the city's main roads including Nguyen Van Linh street, Dien Bien street, Doc Da street, Bai Say street, ending at Chuong pagoda.
It is expected that from 12:00 to 13:00 on the same day, the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha of the province will open the lecture hall of Chuong Pagoda, where the Buddha's relics are enshrined, for monks, nuns, Buddhists, people and tourists to worship.
To help people worship Buddha's relics conveniently, safely and solemnly, the Organizing Committee recommends some important contents that attendees should pay attention to:
Find out the schedule of the procession of the relics in advance: Knowing the time and routes for the procession of the relics will help people conveniently attend and avoid traffic jams at important locations.
No registration required to visit: People and tourists can freely visit Chuong Pagoda during the festival time without having to register in advance.
Arrange parking area appropriately: The Organizing Committee has arranged parking spots at Nguyen Van Linh Square and several other locations in the city. Attendees should follow the instructions to ensure order and traffic safety.
Do not accept flower baskets, offerings and do not organize chanting at the place where the relics are enshrined: To maintain absolute purity in the area where the Buddha's relics are located, the Organizing Committee does not accept any offerings or flowers, and does not organize any offering ceremonies or chanting here.
Dress and behavior: People are advised to wear formal and polite clothes. During the worship, it is necessary to line up in order, move in turn, and give priority to the elderly and children. Absolutely do not take photos, film or touch the artifacts in the area where the relics are enshrined.
Warm welcome: The Organizing Committee has prepared free drinks and snacks for pilgrims.
Wear a mask in crowded places: The Organizing Committee recommends that monks, nuns, Buddhists and people wear masks when going to crowded places to prevent dengue fever, hand, foot and mouth disease, and Covid-19, which are on the rise.
In addition, weather conditions are also a factor that people should pay attention to. According to the forecast of Hung Yen Hydrometeorological Station, on May 28 and 29, Hung Yen province is likely to experience showers, moderate to heavy rain, accompanied by thunderstorms, whirlwinds and strong gusts of wind. Temperatures range from 23 to 29 degrees Celsius, with high humidity. To ensure personal health and safety, people should prepare umbrellas, raincoats, hats and necessary protective equipment when attending the ceremony.
After two days of worship, on May 30, Chuong Pagoda is expected to hold a ceremony to send off Buddha's relics to Da Nang .
