Many meaningful tasks

More than 7 years ago, Ms. Nguyen Thi Hoa in Duy Hoa commune (Duy Xuyen) was accepted to work at Sedo Vinako LLC. In addition to her salary, Ms. Hoa also received full insurance coverage and other benefits from the company.

Due to difficult economic circumstances and having to raise 3 small children, Ms. Hoa has not been able to build a solid house. In 2021, the company's Union supported Ms. Hoa with 40 million VND and called on a number of businesses to support construction materials to build a new house.

"Living in a solid house, my family is no longer afraid of storms, and I can work with peace of mind," Ms. Hoa shared.

Not only Ms. Nguyen Thi Hoa, in the past 5 years, the Trade Union of Sedo Vinako Company Limited has supported 200 million VND to build 5 "Union Shelters". At the same time, it has given more than 1,000 gifts to workers in difficult circumstances; donated 10 bicycles, organized commendations and awarded scholarships to children of workers who have overcome difficulties to study well; regularly visited and supported union members who were sick or in trouble. The total cost of implementing the above activities is more than 1 billion VND...

Mr. Le Hoang Anh Binh - Chairman of the Trade Union of Sedo Vinako Company Limited said that the unit currently has more than 5,000 union members with 100 union groups. In the past 5 years, the union executive committee has actively participated in committees such as mediation, complaint settlement, labor protection, etc.

In particular, coordinate with the company to sign labor agreements in a direction that is more beneficial to workers; organize 10 regular dialogues, 7 ad hoc dialogues and 5 labor conferences. Develop and promulgate a complaint and petition process in the form of suggestion boxes placed at 20 locations in the factory.

“In the face of the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, the company has implemented many meaningful and practical activities. In 2020-2021 alone, the Union organized negotiations and dialogues for employees to receive 70% of their salary during the time they stopped working due to the pandemic; the Lunar New Year 2022 supported union members and employees affected by the COVID-19 pandemic with a total value of more than 1.8 billion VND,” Mr. Binh added.

Take care of spiritual life

When workers' jobs and salaries are guaranteed, the Sedo Vinako Company Limited's Trade Union focuses on building a book library to help improve workers' spiritual lives.

Mr. Le Hoang Anh Binh said that the entire book warehouse is designed as an open warehouse, with low bookshelves within reach of users. The walls are decorated with vivid paintings, creating a sense of closeness and attracting readers. Currently, the library has about 5,000 books with many genres and rich content such as: how to raise children, beautiful life skills, seeds of the soul, psychology and gender, foreign languages, economic management, health care...

In recent years, the Women's Union of Sedo Vinako Company Limited has actively encouraged female workers to carry out the emulation movement "Good at public work, good at housework"; and enthusiastically organized activities to celebrate International Women's Day on March 8 and the Founding Day of the Vietnam Women's Union on October 20.

In addition, cultural and artistic movements, physical training and sports competitions are regularly organized by the company and the union. In particular, the bonding festival program attracted more than 5,000 workers, civil servants and employees of the company to participate in many rich and diverse folk games such as mountain climbing, archery, blindfolded jar smashing, puzzles... The art program had the participation of many famous singers and actors from Ho Chi Minh City such as X-Band band, Sac Viet dance group, singers Phan Dinh Tung and Tuan Hung.
