On the morning of August 8, under the chairmanship of Deputy Prime Minister Tran Luu Quang, the National Steering Committee against smuggling, trade fraud and counterfeit goods held a national online conference to review the work against smuggling, trade fraud and counterfeit goods in the first 6 months of the year, and deploy directions and tasks for the last 6 months of the year.

In the first 6 months of the year, the Steering Committee 389 of the Ministries, branches, provinces and cities directed the functional forces to develop plans suitable to the situation of their localities and units for effective implementation. The functional forces have actively and proactively carried out professional measures, promptly detected, fought, prevented, arrested and strictly handled violations of the law related to smuggling, trade fraud and counterfeit goods, and illegal transportation of goods across the border in accordance with their authority.

In Nghe An, relevant departments, branches, sectors, People's Committees of districts and cities have deployed and effectively implemented the fight against smuggling, trade fraud and counterfeit goods with comprehensive inspections in many fields; the inspection subjects have been expanded, with in-depth inspections of some new fields such as e-commerce, intellectual property violations, essential goods, fields and services serving people's lives, and goods directly related to human health.

In 6 months, functional forces in Nghe An province handled more than 4,200 administrative violations, prosecuted nearly 900 cases with more than 1,160 subjects.
