Provincial People's Committee leaders work with the Department of Education and Training

- On the morning of October 28, Mr. Tran Thanh Nhan, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, worked with the Department of Education and Training on the implementation of tasks in 2025. Attending the meeting were representatives of the Provincial People's Committee Office; leaders of departments and branches of the province.

At the meeting, the leaders of the Department of Education and Training reported on the results of implementing tasks in the first 10 months of 2025. The whole sector currently has 647 educational institutions, the scale of the school and class network is maintained stably with a total of over 207 thousand children, pupils, and more than 20.2 thousand managers, teachers and staff.

Since the beginning of the year, the department has advised on the issuance of many important mechanisms and policies, including resolutions to support the development of non-public preschool education; list and collection levels of educational support services; support for teachers to integrate students with disabilities; deploy the education strategy to 2030, vision 2045; closely coordinate with departments and branches in implementing the 2-level local government model in the field of education.

The work of improving the quality of education continues to be focused on. The application of technology and digital transformation is promoted. Regarding ethnic education, the whole province maintains 84 semi-boarding ethnic schools and 11 boarding ethnic schools; enrollment is on schedule. Ensuring policies for students in disadvantaged areas is implemented according to regulations.

In the program, the Department of Education and Training proposed that the Provincial People's Committee continue to pay attention to allocating sufficient educational expenditure norms according to current regulations; prioritize investment in renovating and repairing facilities, especially for the system of boarding and semi-boarding schools for ethnic minorities. The sector also proposed to delegate authority to the department in mobilizing and appointing educational management staff under the management of two or more commune-level administrative units; allow signing contracts to supplement the missing staff at educational institutions...

At the working session, leaders of departments and branches focused on discussing and clarifying recommendations and proposals of the Department of Education and Training, agreed to coordinate to remove difficulties and obstacles in the process of implementing tasks, ensuring favorable conditions for the whole sector to successfully complete the school year's goals.

Speaking at the meeting, the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee acknowledged the efforts of the education sector in recent times. He requested the Department of Education and Training to continue to promote the spirit of initiative, strengthen coordination with departments and branches to promptly remove difficulties and obstacles in the process of performing tasks.

At the same time, the Department of Education and Training continues custom Advise on the issuance of plans to implement tasks according to the province's direction; proactively review the need for investment in facilities, develop a roadmap to increase the rate of schools meeting national standards according to the target by 2030; speed up the progress of purchasing teaching equipment, promptly remove difficulties arising during the implementation process.

Regarding improving the quality of the staff, the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested to continue professional training, innovate teaching methods to inspire and arouse students' potential; closely coordinate with relevant agencies to solve the shortage of teachers.

Regarding inter-level boarding school projects in border areas, he suggested drastic implementation from site clearance, design to construction organization, ensuring progress and quality; continuing to promote the application of science and technology and digital transformation in education management; focusing on preventing school violence and ensuring information security in the network environment.

The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested relevant departments and branches to continue to closely coordinate with the Department of Education and Training, promptly consider and resolve proposals, create favorable conditions for the sector to successfully complete the school year's goals and meet the requirements of fundamental and comprehensive educational innovation.
