Officers and soldiers of Region 3 will coordinate with the Party Committee, authorities and functional forces to set up warning signs at landslide and deep-flooded areas; provide necessities including instant noodles, dry food, drinking water, canned meat, military medicine and some other essential living materials; propagate and mobilize people not to go to dangerous areas, and support the evacuation of households from areas at risk of being unsafe.

Officers and soldiers of Military Region 5 reinforce Duy Nghia sea dike

According to information from Duy Nghia commune authorities, at around 6 a.m. on October 29, people discovered that the sea dike in the commune had been destroyed by large waves, with the risk of seawater flooding into residential areas where many households are living behind the dike.

Currently, the weather in this area is still very complicated, with strong winds, big waves and floodwaters from upstream continuously pouring in, causing the flow to go deep into the mainland. The risk of directly affecting the safety of dozens of households living nearby is very high.

The soldiers coordinated with local forces and local people to reinforce and patch up the landslide areas. Despite extremely difficult weather conditions, heavy rain and strong winds, the forces still worked tirelessly.
