With the motto "The State and the People work together", in 2021, when there was a policy to develop, expand and harden rural roads, village elder Kri actively mobilized households in the village to agree, contribute hundreds of working days and donate land to build roads, with a length of about 3 km.
“When the people are in favor, everything will be successful, so I was determined to mobilize households to dismantle constructions, clear trees, and facilitate site clearance. Propaganda needs to be done regularly, and we have to tell the villagers until they are satisfied. I myself am also willing to donate land and contribute to set an example for everyone. Donating land to build roads for the common good is not a pity, and as a prestigious person, I have to be a pioneer and a good example,” shared old Kri.
Mr. Ro Cham Hoa, Vice Chairman of Ia Ly Town People's Committee affirmed: Thanks to the active participation in propaganda and mobilization of the prestigious person Ro Cham Kri, the rural traffic route of Van village was soon completed, convenient for traveling and transporting goods.
In addition, Mr. Kri is a shining example who always actively propagates to people to change the structure of crops and livestock, improve mixed gardens, and introduce high-yield, high-quality crop varieties into intensive cultivation to develop the economy . He also actively coordinates with village and hamlet officials to participate in resolving many cases related to conflicts and disunity in the village...
Over the past years, the law violations have decreased significantly, security and order in Yang 2 village, Ia Phi commune have always been peaceful and stable; the intellectual level of the people has been increasingly improved, together they unite to build a rich and beautiful village.
This result has the role of the village elder, the prestigious person Ro Cham Rich (born in 1955). For over 20 years, he has always been at the forefront of movements and is the one who unites the whole people to build a cultural life. He often goes with the People's Committee of the village, the Front and organizations to each household to talk, combine propaganda, mobilize people to raise vigilance, not listen to bad people who entice and incite to disturb security and order; encourage the young generation to practice a civilized lifestyle, not drive when drinking alcohol, prevent early marriage, incestuous marriage, do not fight, encourage children to try to focus on studying; mobilize people to attend literacy classes to change the lives of people in the village...
Mr. Ro Cham Laoh, Chairman of the People's Committee of Ia Phi commune, happily informed that thanks to the joint efforts of a prestigious person like Mr. Ro Cham Rich, by the end of 2023, the whole commune had 201 poor households (accounting for 11.14%), a decrease of 51 households compared to 2022. It is expected that in 2024, the number of poor households will continue to decrease.
Contribute to building the village
Chu Pah is a mountainous district with ethnic minorities accounting for more than 55% of the population, with 26 ethnic groups living together. The whole district has 73 prestigious people among ethnic minorities. With their role, prestige and responsibility, the team of prestigious people among ethnic minorities in Chu Pah district always sets an example in propagating and mobilizing villagers to implement the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's policies and laws; actively participating in campaigns and movements in the locality...
Up to now, the appearance of rural areas and villages in Chu Pah district has had many positive changes. The whole district currently has 4 communes and 3 villages meeting new rural standards. Inter-commune, inter-village, and intra-village roads have been invested in construction, renovation, and upgrading. The average income per capita is estimated at 50.5 million VND/person/year in 2023. By the end of 2023, the poverty rate in the whole district will decrease to 7.16%.
Mr. Luyen Van Toan, Deputy Head of the Ethnic Affairs Department of Chu Pah district, said: To achieve this result, there is an important contribution from the team of Prestigious People among the local ethnic minorities. This is also the result of the good work of reviewing, evaluating, and proposing a list of Prestigious People to ensure quality by the authorities at all levels. At the same time, attention is paid to ensuring the regimes and policies for Prestigious People according to regulations.
In the coming time, Chu Pah district will continue to focus on implementing Sub-Project 1, Project 10 under the National Target Program on Socio-Economic Development in Ethnic Minority and Mountainous Areas for the period 2021 - 2030; in which, training courses, dissemination, and information provision for prestigious people in ethnic minority areas so that they can grasp the knowledge and skills to help them better perform in the work of mobilizing and propagating people to implement the Party's policies and guidelines and the State's laws.
At the same time, organize meetings and visits to encourage, praise and reward prestigious people in a timely manner so that they can increasingly demonstrate their role better with the community, contributing to building Chu Pah district stronger and stronger.
