President attends the launching ceremony of the work 'Who is still crying for To Nhu'

On the morning of September 20, in Hanoi , President Vo Van Thuong attended the introduction ceremony of the work "Who is still crying for To Nhu" by writer Vo Ba Cuong, jointly organized by the Vietnam Writers Association and the People's Committee of Thai Binh province.

The work “Who is still crying for To Nhu” consists of two parts, 16 chapters, depicting the portrait of the great poet Nguyen Du during the period of temporary residence and marriage in Thai Binh . The author-writer Vo Ba Cuong was born in 1940, in Thai Binh city. He used to work in the propaganda sector and the Thai Binh Literature and Arts Association, until retiring in 1997. Writer Vo Ba Cuong has many works that leave an impression on readers. Many of his novels have received prestigious literary awards.

Speaking at the work introduction ceremony, the representative of the Vietnam Writers Association expressed his honor to welcome President Vo Van Thuong and other leaders and former leaders of the Party, State and localities to attend the ceremony, thereby demonstrating the deep and specific attention of the Party and State to the Writers Association and Vietnamese writers...

The delegates expressed their respect for the work “Who is still crying for To Nhu” written by a writer over 80 years old. The work is presented with a high sense of responsibility in every word, every social issue reflected through the written pages. The novel “Who is still crying for To Nhu” belongs to the genre of memoir and essay, with a bold writing style and carefully selected language… Through this work, once again, readers can witness the perseverance and seriousness in writing over the years and through many different works of Writer Vo Ba Cuong.

Some delegates recognized that Writer Vo Ba Cuong boldly chose the historical novel form to recreate the life, career, and personality of the Great Poet Nguyen Du with an attractive and captivating writing style. During the writing process, the writer overcame illness, old age, and weakness many times to complete his work. Thereby, contributing to bringing readers vivid and precious perspectives on the life of the Great Poet Nguyen Du with his great contributions to the country's literature.

Representatives of Thai Binh province expressed their deep gratitude to writer Vo Ba Cuong for his great efforts to create a realistic work, clearly depicting the great poet Nguyen Du during his nearly 10 years living in Thai Binh.
