On the morning of May 15, at Ho Guom Theater (Hanoi), President Luong Cuong attended and spoke at the 10th National Uncle Ho's Good Children Award Ceremony in 2025, organized by the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union in coordination with the Central Council of the Young Pioneers.

The National Uncle Ho's Good Children Commendation Ceremony is an important activity within the framework of the 10th National Uncle Ho's Good Children Congress taking place from May 13 to 15 in Hanoi to commend the outstanding achievements of Uncle Ho's Good Children in the period of 2020-2025 in implementing the Movement "Vietnamese children compete to follow Uncle Ho's 5 teachings".

With the theme "Vietnamese children firmly step into the new era", the 10th National Uncle Ho's Good Children Congress had the participation of 500 delegates who are outstanding team members and children representing nearly 16 million team members, teenagers and children across the country.

The National Uncle Ho's Good Children Award Ceremony within the framework of the Uncle Ho's Good Children Congress is an important event, a great festival of Vietnamese children held every 5 years, to honor children with outstanding achievements in studying, training, and emulating to implement the 5 teachings of Uncle Ho to children. With the spirit of "Young people do small things", the delegates are children who have constantly strived in all fields, strived to cultivate morality, enrich knowledge, contributing to making the history of the Team more brilliant, and honoring the tradition of Lac Hong children. At the same time, this is an opportunity to show the care and concern of the Party, the State, all levels, sectors and the whole society for the young generation of the country.

At the commendation ceremony, Ms. Nguyen Pham Duy Trang, Secretary of the Central Youth Union, Chairman of the Central Council of the Young Pioneers, emphasized that over the past 84 years, under the leadership of the Party, the attention of all levels, sectors and the whole society, the Ho Chi Minh Young Pioneers Organization has continuously grown. The movement "Vietnamese children compete to follow Uncle Ho's 5 teachings" and many meaningful movements and activities of the Team have been widely and practically deployed, suitable to the psychology of the age group and the learning and living conditions of children, helping children express their feelings and gratitude towards beloved Uncle Ho; forming in them the good qualities of a new socialist citizen. From the exciting and practical emulation movements of the Team, more and more exemplary team members and children have appeared. 500 delegates of Uncle Ho's Good Children are 500 beautiful stories - a vivid embodiment of the spirit of effort, compassion, intelligence and dreams of Vietnamese childhood.

At the ceremony, the Organizing Committee commended and awarded certificates of merit to 500 outstanding child delegates representing 63 provinces and cities across the country.

Delighted to attend and speak to the children at the commendation ceremony, President Luong Cuong emphasized that the Uncle Ho's Good Children Congress is a great festival for Vietnamese children, aiming to honor and spread the examples of outstanding, outstanding, and exemplary members, teenagers, and children in studying and training. The Congress is also an opportunity for all of us and the members, teenagers, and children nationwide to express our deep gratitude to the glorious Party, the great Uncle Ho, and to pay tribute to the revolutionary leaders, heroic Vietnamese mothers, heroic martyrs, wounded and sick soldiers, people with meritorious services to the country, compatriots, and comrades who have fought and sacrificed for national independence and for the happiness of the people.

Recalling the words of beloved Uncle Ho: “Vietnam is my big family. All Vietnamese children are my children”, the President said that during his lifetime, Uncle Ho always devoted his special love to teenagers and children. His love for children was a deep and broad sentiment, it was the trust, pride, and expectation that the children would become the generation of excellent successors to the career of their ancestors, the ones who would continue to write a bright future and protect and maintain the longevity of the Vietnamese nation.

After 30 years of wandering to find a way to save the country, on January 28, 1941, Uncle Ho returned to the country to lead the revolution. Despite being busy with "a hundred things, a thousand things", when the country was being invaded by imperialists and colonialists, Uncle Ho directed that there must be a separate organization for children. And on May 15, 1941, the National Salvation Children's Association (now the Ho Chi Minh Young Pioneers) was established. Since then, the Ho Chi Minh Young Pioneers has become a beloved home for Vietnamese children, taking the 5 things Uncle Ho gave to teenagers and children as a guideline for all activities and always considering it as a goal to strive for and compete in studying and training.

The President was proud to see 500 children attending the Congress, who were outstanding, outstanding, and typical, representing nearly 16 million team members, teenagers, and children across the country, to exchange and spread the spirit of learning, training results, and beautiful dreams of Vietnamese childhood, and to report to beloved Uncle Ho their achievements in implementing the 5 teachings of Uncle Ho.

The President emphasized that each child present at the Congress is a beautiful story, a living testament to the will, determination, patriotism, creativity, humanity, sharing and strong will to rise of Vietnamese children. They are truly the most beautiful flowers in the garden of thousands of good deeds of Vietnamese children, the joy and pride of leaders, teachers, leaders, parents and the Vietnamese people.

The President advised that Vietnam's history is a process of continuous continuity and transmission between generations. The "Independence - Freedom - Happiness" of the country today has been exchanged for countless blood and bones, for the sacrifices of many generations of Vietnamese people, of our ancestors, who fought with guns so that today's children could hold books and pens to go to school, they walked in the dark so that children could see the dawn, they fought, struggled and sacrificed to gain the peaceful sky for us today. Therefore, you will continue to try harder, make more efforts, to always be worthy of all those noble sacrifices; let's unite, together preserve and enhance the fine traditional values ​​of the heroic Vietnamese people. The most important task of you is to constantly strive to study, practice, and be creative in order to develop comprehensively. Although each child's conditions are different, you can all rise up with diligence, passion, constant effort, determination to overcome difficulties, and always have the desire to rise up.

The President requested that Party committees, Party organizations, ministries, branches, unions, schools, teachers, families and the whole society further enhance their responsibility for the cause of protecting, caring for and educating children, giving the best to children, helping them live and study in a healthy and safe environment; educating them to always be good children, good students, good team members, becoming future citizens with virtue and talent, contributing to building the country.

During the program of the Uncle Ho's Good Children Congress, 500 delegates from the whole country were honored to receive Uncle Ho's photo and scholarship from President Luong Cuong. The Central Youth Union and the Central Council of the Young Pioneers presented certificates of merit, Uncle Ho's Good Children certificates, gifts and each delegate was awarded a scholarship worth 4 million VND.

At the award ceremony, there was also an exchange program "Artificial Intelligence with Vietnamese children firmly stepping into the new era" between the children and two smart robots, which not only helped the children understand more about AI - a modern technology, but also opened up an insight into how technology becomes a reliable companion in the learning and growing journey of today's generation of Vietnamese children.
