According to the conclusion announcement, regarding the procedures for granting mineral exploitation licenses at the project, Chairman of the People's Committee of Quang Tri province Tran Phong assigned the Department of Agriculture and Environment to urgently review, advise, and report to the Provincial People's Committee.
In addition, regarding the short-term lease procedure for 25 hectares of land at VICO intersection to serve as a temporary storage area for white sand when exploiting sand at the project, Chairman Tran Phong assigned the Department of Agriculture and Environment to urgently implement and report to the Provincial People's Committee before July 25, 2025.

Regarding site clearance, the Chairman of the Quang Tri Provincial People's Committee assigned the People's Committee of My Thuy Commune to proactively coordinate closely with the investor, urgently speed up the site clearance progress in all 3 phases of the project. In particular, focusing on propaganda, mobilizing people to agree, hand over the site early, creating conditions for the investor to speed up the project implementation progress.
Chairman Tran Phong assigned the Department of Agriculture and Environment to support and issue specific instructions to localities on the establishment of a new Land Acquisition and Clearance Council; and handle other difficulties and problems in land acquisition and clearance work in the context of rearranging administrative units and operating two-level local governments.
Regarding the supplementary planning of LNG terminals and specialized terminals, and increasing the load capacity, the Chairman of the People's Committee of Quang Tri province assigned the Economic Zone Management Board to preside over and coordinate with the Department of Construction, relevant units and localities to advise and report to the Provincial People's Committee.
It is known that the My Thuy Port Area project is invested by My Thuy International Port Joint Stock Company (MTIP) with a total capital of nearly 14,234 billion VND, with a scale of 685 hectares, aiming to receive ships with a capacity of up to 100,000 tons and is built in 3 phases. In which, phase 1 of the project will be implemented from 2018 to 2025, with a scale of 4 ports. To date, the project has completed site clearance for phase 1 expansion (43.44 hectares) and phases 2 and 3 (145.09 hectares).
Regarding construction progress, construction units are currently implementing the D2 service route, completing 320 m of the dike embankment to prevent waves and sand, striving to complete 1,200 m by October 2025 and the entire 1,735 m by December 2026.
According to the results of chemical analysis of 6 indicators and physical and mechanical grain size samples, in the total volume of 21.52 million m3 of minerals, there are about 988.2 thousand m3 (equivalent to 1.47 million tons) of white silica sand that meets the standards for making glass and used in the field of mold production; the remaining volume of 20.53 million m3 (30.59 million tons) is only used as filling material.
