Chau Thanh Hamlet has a natural area of 316.32 hectares; the population includes 3 ethnic groups Kinh, Khmer, Hoa living together for a long time. The whole hamlet has 1,119 households/6,001 people, Kinh ethnic group has 770 households/4,173 people, Khmer 283 households/1,478 people, Hoa 66 households/348 people, other 02 people. Over 70% of the people live on farming, the rest do trade and services.
Reporting at the Festival, Head of the Front Working Committee of Chau Thanh Hamlet Nguyen Huu Thien said that the political security situation, social order and safety in Chau Thanh hamlet are stable; ethnic groups and religions are united, harmonious, and preserve national cultural identity. People well implement the Party's policies and the State's laws, trust in the Party's leadership, actively work and produce, contributing to local development.

The socio-economic situation of the hamlet has developed stably, the rural appearance has improved, the traffic infrastructure, electricity, and schools have been invested and completed. The rate of people participating in health insurance is over 95%, 100% of households use electricity, 96% of households use clean water; jobs are regularly solved. The whole hamlet still has 11 poor households, 24 near-poor households; the material and spiritual life, education, and health care of the people are increasingly improved. In 2025, 1,078/1,119 households registered as cultural families, reaching 98.2%.
The people in the hamlet actively participate in management, supervision and social criticism, contribute ideas to build the government, ensure policies and guidelines are close to reality and people's aspirations. The 2-level local government model receives high consensus, strengthens trust and connection between the government and the people, contributing to the effective and sustainable implementation of development policies.

Regarding the direction and key tasks in 2026, Chau Thanh hamlet focuses on organizing well propaganda and education activities to raise people's awareness of culture and responsibility for performing cultural development tasks. Improve the quality of the movement to build cultural families, raise awareness of voluntary and self-consciousness of each family in building a cultural family.
At the same time, improve the quality of building cultural hamlets, promote the role of the movement "All people unite to build new rural areas and civilized urban areas", organize well the "National Great Unity Day" in residential areas. Build solidarity, mutual support, sustainable development for the goal of "Rich people, strong country, democracy, equality and civilization" associated with the criteria of building new rural areas, improve the effectiveness of the movement "Day for the poor" associated with mobilizing all resources to ensure social security and care for the poor.
Maintain the achieved new rural criteria, strive to complete the advanced new rural criteria, help each other develop the economy, improve the quality of cultural families and cultural hamlets, build institutions and cultural and artistic movements, physical education and sports, build a civilized lifestyle, rural cultural environment, well implement the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's laws and regulations and local regulations.
