National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man meets with heads of delegations of countries on the occasion of attending the 6th World Conference of Speakers of Parliament

On the occasion of attending the 6th World Conference of Speakers of Parliament in Geneva, Switzerland, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man had brief meetings with the Heads of Delegations from North Korea, South Korea, and Kazakhstan.

At the meeting, the heads of delegations expressed their delight at the important achievements in bilateral cooperation with Vietnam in recent times, including cooperation between legislative bodies; highly appreciated the increasing role and position of Vietnam in the region and the world ; and expressed their desire to continue maintaining and promoting relations with Vietnam in many fields in the coming time.

The Chairman of the Supreme People's Assembly of North Korea agreed to promote cooperation in mutually beneficial fields in accordance with international regulations such as economic and trade cooperation and facilitating trade of goods.

The Chairman of the National Assembly of Korea affirmed that he will closely coordinate with the Vietnamese side to carefully prepare for the upcoming visit to Korea by high-ranking Vietnamese leaders.

The Chairman of the House of Representatives of Kazakhstan highly appreciated the significance of General Secretary To Lam's visit to Kazakhstan in May 2025, agreeing that the two countries need to focus on concretizing the results achieved during the visit.

At the meetings, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man conveyed the greetings of General Secretary To Lam, President Luong Cuong, and Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh to General Secretary, State President Kim Jong Un, and Premier Pak Thae Song of the DPRK.

The Chairman of the Vietnamese National Assembly suggested that heads of parliaments of other countries closely coordinate to prepare well for upcoming high-level visits and contacts, implement the results of recent visits, promote comprehensive and deeper cooperation in all channels, in areas where you have strengths and Vietnam has great needs; at the same time, strengthen cooperation, exchanges and parliamentary coordination at all levels to become increasingly substantive and effective.
