At 11:00 PM on February 4th (December 25th in the lunar calendar), the Chairman of the People's Committee of Phan Thiet City, Phan Nguyen Hoang Tan, unexpectedly appeared at the Nguyen Tat Thanh Spring Flower Street construction site to inspect the progress of the project and encourage the workers and technicians who are gradually completing the project for the opening ceremony taking place at 7:00 PM on February 5th (the evening of December 26th in the lunar calendar).
The Chairman of the People's Committee of Phan Thiet City, Phan Nguyen Hoang Tan, along with artist Pham Anh Tuan, reviewed the various sections and layouts, from the lighting system to the cleaning, before opening the flower street to the public and tourists.
The Chairman of the People's Committee of Phan Thiet City also sent greetings and encouragement to the technical team and workers who are on duty to complete the flower street, and gave lucky money to wish them a happy Lunar New Year - the Year of the Dragon - which is fast approaching.
The Chairman of the People's Committee of Phan Thiet City visited the construction workshop to inspect the mascot before its installation and gave New Year's greetings to the technicians and artisans who were completing the crafting of the dragon mascot - the symbol of the Spring Flower Street of the Year of the Dragon in Phan Thiet City this year.

The opening ceremony of this year's Spring Flower Street will officially take place at 7:00 PM on February 5th. This year, the organizers of the Spring Flower Street will also present a lion and dragon dance performance featuring the longest dragon in Southeast Asia (Quan Đế Temple) during the opening night. Afterwards, the dragon will coil up for people and tourists to take souvenir photos.

The dragon mascot placed in the flower street's entrance hall will bring many interesting things to the people and tourists. Not only is it over 5 meters tall, but the image of the dragon riding on clouds and soaring into the sky symbolizes a wish for a prosperous and peaceful new year, allowing the young city to thrive and integrate. The dragon mascot will also perform fire-breathing shows at 8 PM every night for the entertainment of the people.
