Chairman of Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee Ho Van Muoi offered incense at the N'Trang Guh historical memorial site

During a working trip to the western communes, on the afternoon of November 10, comrade Ho Van Muoi, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee of Lam Dong province led a working delegation of the Provincial People's Committee to offer incense at the N'Trang Guh historical memorial site, Nam Da commune.

In 1884, when the French launched a war of aggression, occupying the lower reaches of the Krong Ana and Krong No rivers, N'Trang Guh called on the people to rise up against the foreign invaders.

Comrade Ho Van Muoi, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee offered incense at the N'Trang Guh historical memorial site.

Then, 600 local people led by N'Trang Gưh surrounded and destroyed the entire French army right in the fields of Tur and Phok villages. Under the leadership of N'Trang Gưh, the insurgents fought bravely for 13 years.

To commemorate the place that left many glorious marks of the hero of the Central Highlands ethnic groups, on August 2, 2011, the State recognized the N'Trang Gưh Memorial Historical Site as a National Historical Site.

The N'Trang Gưh historical relic is a source of pride for the patriotism and indomitable struggle against the invaders of the cadres, soldiers and people of Nam Da commune. This is also a place to educate revolutionary traditions for the younger generations and the ethnic minorities of the Central Highlands.
