On the morning of November 11, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee Ho Van Muoi and Vice Chairmen of the Provincial People's Committee Vo Ngoc Hiep and Nguyen Minh directly inspected the landslide situation on the banks of the Krong No River, passing through Quang Phu commune.

The working delegation of the Provincial People's Committee inspected the actual situation of landslides on the banks of the Krong No River passing through Quang Phu commune.

The Krong No River section flowing through Quang Phu commune is about 22km long. Recently, this area has experienced many serious landslides, destroying dozens of hectares of production land and crops of nearly 100 households, causing significant economic losses. However, the coordination in handling and supporting the affected people is still slow and inconsistent.

The landslide situation at this location is getting more and more serious.

Faced with that situation, Quang Phu commune proposed that the province promptly direct functional units to determine the cause of the landslide, and at the same time consider the mechanism for inventorying land and crops of households along the riverbank to have a plan to handle and provide timely support in case landslides continue to occur.

Landslides affect people's lives and production.

Through the on-site inspection, the Provincial People's Committee delegation requested Quang Phu commune to proactively review and count the damage, and at the same time develop a plan to protect the riverbank, ensure safety for people and stabilize production. In addition, local authorities need to step up propaganda and warnings about landslide risks, helping people proactively respond, limiting damage to people and property.
