Receiving the delegation were Most Venerable Thich Niem Thoi - Head of the Provincial Buddhist Sangha Executive Committee and dignitaries of the Executive Committee.
Mr. Vo Duc Trong shared that this year, the Buddha's birthday took place in a very special context, when the whole country had just celebrated the 50th anniversary of unification, and an activity of great significance to Buddhists as well as people across the country was the Vesak Festival held in Vietnam. In particular, the event of bringing the relics of Buddha Shakyamuni from India to Vietnam, then enshrined at the top of Ba Den Mountain, was a great honor for the locality and visitors from all over to Tay Ninh to worship.
Besides, the Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee also sent condolences to the Executive Committee of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha of the province when Venerable Thich Nu Dieu Nghia recently passed away.
Mr. Vo Duc Trong also acknowledged the contributions of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha in the province for guiding the entire religion to implement the policies and laws of the Party and State. The Executive Committee has always accompanied the locality in social security work. Since the beginning of 2025, the provincial Buddhism has contributed more than 20 billion VND to charity work in the area.
Mr. Vo Duc Trong expressed his thanks to the members of the Board of Trustees, hoping that they will continue to promote their strengths; propagate and guide monks, nuns, and Buddhists to well implement the policies, viewpoints, guidelines, and laws of the Party and State.
On this occasion, on behalf of the leaders of the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province, Mr. Vo Duc Trong wished the monks, nuns, and Buddhists a joyful and happy Buddha's birthday.
