On June 24, many youth volunteer teams in Dak Lak started cleaning up accommodation, preparing free food and accommodation, ready to welcome candidates to take the 2025 high school graduation exam.

Early this morning, at Lak Ethnic Boarding School, nearly 40 volunteers urgently cleaned the dormitory, cleaned rooms, and pulled weeds around the campus.

Volunteers hurriedly completed their work to welcome 120 candidates from remote communes such as Dak Phoi, Dak Lieng, especially Krong No and Ea R'bin, many of whom had to travel more than 50 - 60km to reach the exam site.

Mr. Pham Ngoc Thang - Secretary of Lak District Youth Union - said that 3 volunteer groups have been arranged to support candidates throughout the exam, from serving food, cleaning to being ready to respond to emergency situations. Means of transport to pick up candidates from home to the exam site or from their accommodation to school have also been prepared.

Over the past few days, nearly 80 youth volunteers from Ea Sup district have cleaned up rooms, entrances to exam sites, and accommodation for candidates. In addition to preparing drinking water, lunch and dinner, the volunteer teams also called on benefactors to donate paper, pens, and school supplies to candidates.

Mr. Vo Trong Loi - Secretary of the Youth Union of Ea Sup High School - said that the volunteers proactively washed the curtains and cleaned the accommodation so that the candidates could have a clean and comfortable place to rest. The teams were well trained, assigned specific tasks, and were always ready to support. The locality also selected two stores that met food safety standards to provide meals for the candidates.

Speaking more about the preparation work, Ms. Phan Thi Trinh - Deputy Secretary of Dak Lak Provincial Youth Union - said that the whole province has 45 volunteer teams with more than 1,350 union members, youth, and students participating in supporting candidates and their families.

The "Exam Support" teams have been trained in skills, have a firm grasp of the regulations, exam schedules, exam locations, and have proactively connected with candidates and parents through many channels.

During the peak exam days (June 25-27), teams will be on duty at exam sites in districts, towns, and cities to guide candidates through procedures and exam room layouts. In addition, they will help cook and provide free meals and drinks for candidates and their families.

Volunteer teams will also coordinate with functional forces to regulate traffic, maintain security and order; organize free transportation, especially support candidates in remote and border areas, and candidates with disabilities.

"Support to go to school" scholarship campaign

According to Phan Thi Trinh, Deputy Secretary of Dak Lak Provincial Youth Union, the units are currently reviewing candidates with difficult circumstances to support free meals, accommodation, and transportation during the exam. On the exam day, candidates eligible for support will receive gifts and direct support from the units at the exam site.

Since April 2025, the Provincial Youth Union has also mobilized "Support to School" scholarships for students admitted to universities and colleges with difficult circumstances. "After the exam, volunteer teams continue to support new students with admission procedures, finding safe and affordable accommodation," said Ms. Trinh.
