According to UEFA's bonus allocation mechanism, if PSG or Inter win at the Allianz Arena tonight, the amount received for the 2024/25 Champions League title is 6.5 million euros.
Of course, that's not all. The total prize fund of the Champions League in its first season under the new format with 36 teams is 2.5 billion euros, a significant increase from 2 billion euros last season.
Accordingly, the 36 teams participating in the qualifying round all received 18.62 million euros. In the 8 qualifying round matches, each win was worth 2.1 million euros and a draw was worth 700,000 euros. At the end of the period, each position was worth 275,000 euros, meaning the top team received 9.9 million euros. In addition, the top 8 teams received an additional 2 million euros and the teams from 9th to 16th received 1 million euros. In the knockout round, participating in the round of 16 meant earning 11 million euros, the quarter-finals were 12.5 million, the semi-finals were 15 million, and the final pocketed 18.5 million euros.
PSG currently earn a total of €137.9m while Inter receive €136.6m. In case of winning the title, both will have an additional €6.5m added to their accounts, in addition to another €4m for participating in the European Super Cup.
However, this is only a payment of the 914 million euro package. The remaining package worth 853 million euro for television rights is allocated based on the club coefficient. It is estimated that the total amount the champion team can receive from UEFA can be up to more than 200 million euro.
