Over two years of implementation, sectors and localities have focused on implementing many contents and tasks towards the common goal: building the image of Tay Ninh as a safe, civilized and friendly destination.
Synchronize solutions to improve quality and safety in tourism activities
After Plan 2509 was issued, localities, areas and tourist spots have disseminated to business organizations about implementing civilized, safe and economical lifestyles when participating in tourism activities.
The installation of environmental protection propaganda boards, rules boards, and things to do for tourists and tour guides has been done in many places. Officials and employees have built a proper, friendly, and responsible behavior style; ready and actively support visitors when requested.
The Tay Ninh Provincial Tourism Association has also launched a movement to register to participate in responding to the correct implementation of the criteria of the Code of Conduct for Civilized Tourism in the following areas: Tourism service business, Restaurants, food service establishments, Shopping for tourists, Travel services and Tourist accommodation establishments. By the end of 2024, more than 20 units had registered to participate.
Tourist areas and spots develop security and order plans, arrange forces to protect the safety of the management area, and localities direct the police force to ensure security and order, maintain traffic order and safety, and prevent social evils at tourist spots and entertainment areas, especially during holidays and Tet.
Forest protection, fire prevention and fighting are strictly implemented. Tourist areas and spots are arranged with security forces to actively patrol and monitor to detect, handle and propose timely solutions to fire and explosion risks. Periodic fire prevention and fighting drills are also carried out to raise awareness and fire prevention and fighting skills for officials and employees at the unit. As a result, up to now, there have been no cases of fire and explosion.
Tourism always comes with the need for food and drink, therefore, the strengthening of inspection and supervision of issues related to food safety and hygiene is always focused on by industries and establishments. Specifically, the Management Board of Ba Den Mountain National Tourist Area always coordinates with the Department of Health to check water sources, spray pesticides to prevent and control epidemics... before, during and after holidays and Tet, ensuring the health and safety of visitors; organize propaganda on food safety knowledge for food businesses and charity kitchens in the tourist area.
In addition, the District Interdisciplinary Inspection Team regularly organizes food safety and hygiene inspections to ensure food safety for visitors, tourists, at production and business establishments, restaurants, etc.
Regarding consumer prices, the Department of Industry and Trade implements solutions to ensure supply-demand balance and market stabilization; directs localities to closely monitor supply-demand developments and prices of goods and services in the area for essential goods, and propose solutions to support the market when there are market fluctuations.
Regarding the issue of movement, to ensure safe travel, the Department of Transport (now the Department of Construction) coordinates with sectors and localities to organize appropriate traffic, especially organizing traffic by traffic lights, lane markings, speed bumps; promptly addressing voters' opinions and recommendations related to traffic infrastructure... contributing to ensuring safety for people and vehicles participating in traffic.
Currently, the province has 22 fixed-route passenger transport businesses, buses and taxis that have declared fares according to regulations. Vehicles operating on fixed routes are of good quality, always receiving investment and innovation from the units, especially sleeper buses, room buses, and limousines (with separate, spacious seats).
Bus operators have invested in new buses to replace old ones or add them to their routes with a total of 66 buses, meeting local passenger transport needs.
Strengthen management - create trust in tourists
According to Ms. Tran Thi Huy Hoang - Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, besides the positive aspects, currently, raising awareness and responsibility in building and preserving the image and quality of tourism services in the province still has certain limitations .
Through the 2024 inspection, there were a number of units and localities that have not regularly carried out propaganda work, deployed the Code of Conduct for Civilized Tourism to the business community and residential communities, and propagated on social networking sites and electronic information portals.
In Tay Ninh city and Chau Thanh district, there are still restaurants and food businesses that do not ensure food hygiene and safety procedures. In Go Dau district, some products at local specialty businesses do not have labels, expiry dates, or origins; the price list of goods and services using currencies is not in accordance with regulations.
In order to properly implement the spirit of Plan 2509 of the Provincial People's Committee on raising awareness and responsibility in building and maintaining the image and quality of tourism services in the province, sectors, localities, tourist establishments... need to strengthen inspection and examination in the following areas: food safety and hygiene; product origin; listing and prices of goods; traffic infrastructure, road traffic safety and order...
The Provincial Cultural and Social Interdisciplinary Inspection Team regularly inspects business locations such as karaoke services, bars, hotels, guesthouses, motels, inns... to ensure security, order, prevent and promptly stop social evils in the province, creating a sustainable and developing tourism environment.
According to Ms. Tran Thi Huy Hoang - Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, in recent times, the Department has taken the lead in promoting the Code of Conduct for Civilized Tourism in many diverse and rich forms.
In the coming time, the Department will continue to coordinate with sectors, localities, Management Boards of historical sites, Tourism Associations to continue to strengthen propaganda work, widely disseminate the Code of Conduct for civilized tourism (through visual images, on press, television, electronic websites...) to many subjects: tourism businesses, tourists, communities...
The People's Committees of districts, towns and cities will continue to deploy to individuals and tourism business organizations to post signs with specific and clear tasks in the management area in a simple and intuitive way; inspect or integrate into the annual inspections of the unit to remind and correct compliance with legal regulations on business lines, the implementation of the Code of Conduct for civilized tourism, focusing on food safety and hygiene at restaurants, food and beverage establishments, brands, and product origins at local specialty businesses; post price lists of goods and services in accordance with regulations.
Along with that, localities also issued documents announcing hotline numbers and suggestion boxes to promptly receive, process and respond to tourists' assessments, reflections and recommendations on the quality of destination services; issues regarding the attitudes of tourism business organizations and individuals; violations of security, order, theft and robbery at tourist areas and spots.
With determination and specific, practical solutions, Tay Ninh aims to develop sustainable tourism, create trust for tourists and improve service quality throughout the area.
