In mid-February 2024, meeting Lien on a beautiful sunny day in Phu Yen , the reporter felt even more clearly the love she had for the unit she worked for.
That love is not through flowery words but through her own understanding of the working environment. From the office, the control center, the operation, the dining area, Lien introduces everything to the visitors in detail without any documents in hand.
What makes you able to work in one place for so long? "A salary commensurate with your efforts, good and constantly improving welfare, what more could you ask for?", Lien replied.
Working at TMC Deo Ca, Mr. Dao Quang Cam, Fire Fighting and Rescue Team Leader, recalls the time in 2015, after 7 years working for an oil and gas company, the decision to return to Deo Ca was made.

"At the oil and gas company, the salary is only over 4 million per month. My wife works as a worker for the company and her income is not much either.
At that time, the couple decided to buy insurance for their eldest daughter with the hope that when she went to university, they would have enough money to cover expenses.
The couple's income is only enough for living expenses and insurance for the children (about 10 million/year), and sometimes they have to borrow from both their parents. That situation motivated me to apply for a job at Deo Ca to have a better life," Cam shared and excitedly said that with the salary paid by TMC Deo Ca, 2-3 times higher than the "three poles, three coins" income in the past, he and his wife not only have food and savings but also buy their own house in Tuy Hoa (Phu Yen).

Speaking with Giao Thong Newspaper, Mr. Dinh Viet Cuong, Deputy Director of TMC Deo Ca, said that up to now, the total number of employees of the unit is 255 people. Of which, the person with the lowest seniority is 5 years, and there are almost no employees who have resigned.

In total, TMC Deo Ca currently has no less than 10 couples," Mr. Cuong shared enthusiastically, adding that the nature of tunnel operations is to operate continuously 24/7, ensuring smooth traffic, determining that the health of workers plays a decisive role. At TMC Deo Ca, officers and workers are carefully taken care of in every meal and sleep.
In the office premises alone, 15 bedrooms, 15m2/room (2-3 beds) are invested to serve rotating shifts.

"The best thing is that the management office also has a soccer field and a relaxing landscape, so going to the construction site is tiring, but when returning to the camp, the workers feel like they've entered a different atmosphere, airy and comfortable," said Mr. Kien.
After 25 years working in the construction industry, leaving his old company to come to Deo Ca from the Quang Ninh coastal tunnel project to the tunnel routes: Thung Thi, Truong Vinh, Tuy An, Mr. Kien said that the most reassuring thing about his current work unit is the place to eat and stay.
"About 10 years ago, many businesses always determined that even if the spirit at the construction site was not the same as at home, they still had to meet 70 - 80% of the demand. However, in reality, it was only 40%.

Like many others, Mr. Kien admits that another reason that motivates him to stay with his current company is that engineers and workers have never had their salaries or bonuses delayed or suffered from poor treatment.
Recruiting more than 3,000 employees in the new year
Not only Ms. Lien, Mr. Cam or Mr. Kien, according to Mr. Ngo Truong Nam, General Director of Deo Ca Group, for many years, the situation of unpaid wages has never happened to more than 7,000 workers of Deo Ca.

"The Group's payroll system has created a culture of never owing or delaying wages.
Even in the most difficult times, instead of letting employees take temporary leave or cut salaries, we always proactively fix the problem, arrange suitable work in addition to reserving financial funds for businesses to manage risks," said Mr. Nam.
Regarding the unit's human resources, Mr. Nam said that as of December 31, 2023, the total number of employees of the Group was 7,377 people, an increase of 46% over the same period last year (corresponding to a 60% increase in work output).
In 2023 alone, the total number of employees recruited at Deo Ca Group is 3,080 people, an increase of 79% compared to 2022.
Of which, the construction site block has 2,756 people (accounting for 90%), the office block has 324 people (accounting for 10%).
"With the workload in 2024 increasing by approximately 30% compared to the previous year, the expected labor recruitment demand at the Group this year is up to more than 3,000 workers across the country," Mr. Nam shared.
Not only domestic staff, determined to reach international level, the staff must have international level, we have cooperated with many businesses, training schools in the world to cooperate and train the Group's staff. As for foreign engineers, there are staff we are paying up to 15,000 USD/month to accompany.
Identifying that people and culture are things that cannot be borrowed but must be built and developed by the enterprise itself, the leader of Deo Ca Group said that the Group has built a comprehensive development strategy.
Training activities are implemented in a variety of forms, both internally and in conjunction with external units, both short-term and long-term.
The camp was built spaciously with nutritious meals provided by Deo Ca Group for workers at the project site.
In 2023 alone, the construction site block will have 1,568 personnel trained focusing on the Group's specific occupations and jobs such as miners, drillers, sprayers, drivers, construction machine operators, etc.
