Thanh Hoa Club determined to compete for medals in V-League 2023/2024

At the 2023/2024 season launch ceremony, Dong A Thanh Hoa Club Chairman Cao Tien Doan assigned tasks to the coaching staff and players. Accordingly, the Thanh Hoa team set a goal of achieving the same results as last season - entering the top 4, competing for medals in the V-League and participating in the National Cup final.

Thanh Hoa FC had a successful 2023 season. Under the guidance of coach Velizar Popov, the team was in the V-League championship race with the strongest potential opponents in Vietnamese football and only lost in the final rounds. However, Thanh Hoa FC still won 2 titles: the National Cup and the National Super Cup.

Chairman of Thanh Hoa Club Cao Tien Doan said: “ The leadership of Thanh Hoa Club always upholds the spirit of solidarity, great effort, high determination, strong action, to create a team rich in homeland identity, resilient spirit, overcoming all difficulties and challenges to conquer prestigious cups.

In the 2023 season, Thanh Hoa Club introduced new head coach Popov for the first time along with quality new recruits and the brilliance of key players, with an attractive attacking style of play, resilient and dedicated fighting spirit. The team had a great season, leaving a special mark in the hearts of fans across the country."

Mr. Doan emphasized that Thanh Hoa Club will continue to use the motto of solidarity to create a collective star, as a driving force to achieve victory together. The chairman of the Thanh Hoa team reminded the members of the Club to maintain the spirit of solidarity and dedication for the flag and the shirt.

Entering the 2023/2024 season, Thanh Hoa Club has made major changes in its squad. The reigning National Cup champions said goodbye to many players, including important contributors such as Nguyen Minh Tung, Le Pham Thanh Long, and the foreign duo Bruno Cantanhede and Paulo Conrado.

The Thanh Hoa team soon recruited players to supplement and replace. Among them, the most notable contract is Rimario Gordon. The player who won the title of top scorer of V-League 2022 returned to Thanh Hoa Club and is expected to be the main striker in the 2023/2024 season.
