The ITF U18 - J30 2024 International Tennis Tournament will take place in Vietnam from November 11 to 24 at the Ninh Binh Provincial Sports Center. This tournament is part of a series of international sports events to create opportunities for young tennis players, and at the same time, an opportunity for Vietnam to affirm its position on the world youth tennis map.
This is an important sporting event organized under the coordination of the Vietnam Tennis Federation (VTF), the International Tennis Federation (ITF) and the Department of Culture and Sports of Ninh Binh province.
The ITF J30 tournament will gather more than 200 players from nearly 20 countries such as Japan, Korea, China, India, Australia, Hungary, etc. Among them are prominent names such as Shen Jacob Kailiang (Hong Kong-China), Oh Jihyun (Korea), Pantaratorn Dharma (Thailand), etc. Vietnam also participates with names representing the host country such as Nguyen Minh Phat, Nguyen Dai Khanh, Tran Quoc Cuong...
Young Vietnamese tennis players have the opportunity to compete internationally when the tournament takes place in Ninh Binh.
The players will compete in four events: men's singles, women's singles, men's doubles and women's doubles. This is not only an exciting playground but also an opportunity for young players to accumulate bonus points in the ITF U18 world junior rankings.
Within the framework of the tournament, the qualifying matches will take place on November 9 and 10, with the main round starting from November 11 to 24.
At this tournament for young players, the champion will not receive any prize money, instead the singles champion will receive 30 bonus points, the doubles champion will receive 20 bonus points from the ITF.
In particular, the tournament is also a good opportunity for young Vietnamese athletes to compete and gain experience in international competitions.
Participating in a major ITF tournament will help young tennis players improve their skills and become more confident when facing strong opponents from many countries, contributing to further promoting the development of Vietnamese tennis.
