Opportunity to receive prizes worth over 660 million VND for female entrepreneurs

Female entrepreneurs with pioneering solutions in the two fields of health and food security will have the opportunity to receive support from the Bayer Foundation in Vietnam with a cash prize of 25,000 EUR equivalent to 663 million VND and participate in many other attractive programs.

Within the framework of the KICK-OFF 2025: Drive Innovation for Impact event, the Institute for Innovation and Development (IID) and the Bayer Foundation will officially launch the 2025 Women Entrepreneur Award (WEA). In 2025, IID will be the implementing partner of Impact Hub - a world-leading social enterprise incubator with a network of more than 120 hubs worldwide - for the Bayer Foundation Women Entrepreneur Award (WEA) in Vietnam.

The WEA 2025 Prize seeks and supports women entrepreneurs with pioneering solutions in two key areas: health and food security, and encourages climate change-related initiatives, and was officially launched on January 7, 2025.

According to Associate Professor, Dr. Truong Thi Nam Thang, Chief Researcher, Institute for Innovation and Development (IID) : Kick-off 2025 is an event where IID shares with businesses, support organizations and ecosystems the opportunities and support programs that IID will implement in 2025 to promote social impact business activities in Vietnam. The Bayer Foundation's 2025 Women Entrepreneurs Award was launched with the mission of building an ecosystem for impact business in Vietnam.

Specifically, the criteria for female entrepreneurs WEA 2025 is looking for are: Female entrepreneurs with pioneering solutions related to the fields of health and food security; solutions need to have clear social impact, will be awarded extra points if related to climate change; annual revenue of the nominated business does not exceed 500,000 USD equivalent to 12.7 billion VND/year; female entrepreneurs can be business owners, co-founders or on the board of directors of the nominated business/organization.

Criteria for participating in the award

Upon receiving the WEA 2025 award, the female entrepreneur will receive attractive benefits, including: A cash prize of 25,000 EUR equivalent to 663 million VND. In addition, there are benefits: a sponsored trip to attend the award ceremony in June 2025 in Europe; receive a 6-month accelerated training program; have her story communicated to global media; join the global Impact Hub network with more than 320,000 members.

The application period for the award runs from January 2025 to February 18, 2025. The award ceremony will be held in Europe in early June 2025.
