According to the British Council (an organization that contributes to the development of arts and culture in Vietnam through cooperation activities with the UK), this small grant fund aims to support independent artists and arts organizations in Vietnam and the UK who are interested in connecting with each other, to promote exchanges and capacity building, participate in study tours, research and development, or display and introduce works of art, opening up the potential for future artistic cooperation between the two countries.

This is an opportunity for Vietnamese artists and independent arts organisations to improve their capacity, access excellent performances and development projects in the UK, and introduce UK arts and culture to Vietnam and vice versa.
Specifically, Vietnamese artists or arts organisations wishing to collaborate with partners in the UK or vice versa can propose projects or activities in one of three areas: Connection (with an artist or arts organisation in Vietnam or the UK for a study visit or research and development for a future collaborative project); Professionalism (wishing to organise or participate in a professional development opportunity in Vietnam or the UK, such as: workshops, residencies, artist talks, short courses, exhibitions, festivals, etc.); Exhibition/Introduction (introducing British arts and culture in Vietnam or vice versa).
If selected, the grant will be awarded to cover costs associated with travel, professional development or work presentation activities taking place between May 2025 and March 2026; each grant is worth between £1,000 and £2,500.
