DTO – On the afternoon of March 19, information from the Investigation Police Agency ( Dong Thap Provincial Police), the Investigation Police Agency is investigating the case of "Fraudulent appropriation of property" by the defendant Tran Thi Thuy Lan (born in 1981), registered permanent residence in My Ngai ward, Cao Lanh city. The defendant Tran Thi Thuy Lan committed the act of providing false information about needing money for bank debt settlement services, to borrow money from many individuals in the province and then appropriate it.

According to the initial verification results, from August 2023 to August 2024, the defendant Tran Thi Thuy Lan "made up a story" about paying off bank debts to borrow from many people with a total amount of more than 10 billion VND, but did not fulfill the debt repayment obligation as promised. To serve the investigation and expand the case, the Investigation Police Agency, the Provincial Police widely publicized the case and is receiving information from those who are victims related to the above case, please contact the Investigation Police Agency for handling according to the provisions of law.
