Attending the conference were leaders of the Department of Science and Technology, Kim Son District People's Committee, CIPTEK Center for Technology Research and Intellectual Property, representatives of some localities, and Kim Son vermicelli and meatball businesses.
Bun moc is a famous traditional dish of Kim Son district. Not only appearing in daily meals, Kim Son bun moc also participates in local festivals and cultural events, loved by diners inside and outside the province.
This dish has a light, sweet flavor because the broth is simmered from bones for many hours. The meatballs are also made from fresh pork, combined with wood ear mushrooms, shiitake mushrooms and traditional spices to create a natural, attractive sweetness. The small vermicelli noodles are handcrafted by skilled workers, using traditional processing methods combined with long-standing experience.
However, to enhance the prestige and reputation of the product towards sustainable and effective development for families and localities; contributing to the recognition of Kim Son culinary brand on the Vietnamese culinary map, the Kim Son vermicelli with meatballs brand needs to be identified and legally protected.
On April 25, 2025, the Department of Intellectual Property issued Decision No. 58376/QD-SHTT.IP on granting the Certificate of registration of the certification trademark "Bun moc Kim Son - Ninh Binh".
At the conference, representatives of the Department of Science and Technology announced the decision and awarded the certificate of registration of the trademark "Bun moc Kim Son-Ninh Binh" to the leaders of the People's Committee of Kim Son district - the owner of the trademark; and also awarded the certificate to 3 business households in the district.
The protection of the certified trademark “Bun moc Kim Son-Ninh Binh” is of great significance, contributing to building the culinary brand of Kim Son district in particular and Ninh Binh province in general; it is an effective legal tool to control the quality and origin of products when distributed to the market.
At the same time, ensure the rights of consumers in identifying and choosing products of the right origin and quality; bringing higher benefits to local people.
