This is one of the events to celebrate the 70th anniversary of Hai Phong Liberation Day (May 13, 1955 - May 13, 2025) - Heroic City and respond to the Red Flamboyant Festival 2025.
Attending the ceremony were Mr. Le Hai Binh, alternate member of the Party Central Committee, Permanent Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism; leaders of Vietnam Railways Corporation ; leaders of Hai Phong City People's Committee, Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Hai Phong.

With the aim of meeting the increasing demands of passengers, Vietnam Railways Corporation has comprehensively renovated and upgraded passenger cars with luxurious interiors and modern amenities such as semi-automatic doors, LED screens, free wifi, and typical images of the Port City.
This is the first time the railway industry has put into operation a 34-seat VIP carriage, with an Indochinese-style interior. The 56-seat carriage is equipped with new-generation seats that can rotate 180 degrees, so passengers no longer have to worry about sitting in the opposite direction when the train is running. The carriages are all equipped with spacious hand-washing areas, modern and clean toilets. In addition, the train also has standard 64-seat carriages, applying flexible fares to meet the diverse travel needs of passengers.
The launch of the high-quality Hoa Phuong Do train demonstrates the strong determination of the Railway industry in renewing thinking, constantly improving service quality and increasing experience value, thereby making railways a top choice for green tourism trends.
The Red Flamboyant Train is a tourism product that bears the distinctive mark of the Port City, and will be a new experience and choice for visitors to Hai Phong. Ticket prices to experience the Red Flamboyant Train with VIP class tickets (34-seat carriage) range from 250,000-300,000 VND/ticket; first class tickets (56-seat carriage) range from 150,000-180,000 VND/ticket, and economy class tickets (64-seat carriage) range from 105,000-130,000 VND/ticket.
Hai Phong Station was built in 1902 and is one of the oldest and most historically valuable stations in the railway industry. Here, on October 21, 1946, the train departed to bring President Ho Chi Minh back to Hanoi after attending the Fontainebleau conference in France. Since then, October 21 has become the Traditional Day of Vietnam Railways.
With its unique ancient French architecture, in recent times, Hai Phong Station has not only been a transportation transit point but also a work with deep historical, cultural and artistic values associated with the formation and development of the Port City, attracting tourists to visit and check in.
