* Hung Yen province gives 1 billion VND to support poor households in Son La province on the occasion of Lunar New Year 2025
On January 18, in Moc Chau town (Son La province), the ceremony to announce the Resolution of the National Assembly Standing Committee on the establishment of Moc Chau town, Son La province took place. According to Resolution No. 1280/NQ-UBTVQH15 of the National Assembly Standing Committee on the arrangement of district and commune-level administrative units of Son La province in the period of 2023 - 2025, Moc Chau town was established on the basis of the entire natural area and population of Moc Chau district. Moc Chau town has an area of 1,072.09 km2, with a population of 148,259 people. Moc Chau town has 15 commune-level administrative units, including 8 wards: Binh Minh, Co Do, Dong Sang, Moc Ly, Moc Son, Muong Sang, Thao Nguyen, Van Son and 7 communes: Chieng Chung, Chieng Hac, Chieng Khua, Chieng Son, Doan Ket, Long Sap, Tan Yen.
Presenting the Resolution of the National Assembly Standing Committee on the establishment of Moc Chau town, Comrade Nguyen Thi Thanh, member of the Party Central Committee, Vice Chairwoman of the National Assembly commended and congratulated the achievements of the Party Committee, government, and people of all ethnic groups in Son La province in general and Moc Chau town in particular in the past time. The Vice Chairwoman of the National Assembly believes that Son La province in general and Moc Chau town in particular will continue to make breakthroughs and develop dynamically together with the whole country, determined to achieve the economic growth target of 8% in 2025 and strive for double-digit growth in the period 2026-2030.
