The Capital Trade Union visits the family of union member killed in the train capsize in Quang Ninh

On the afternoon of July 20, a delegation of the Hanoi City Labor Federation (LFF) led by Mr. Le Dinh Hung, Permanent Vice President in charge of the LFF, visited the family of a union member who died in the ship capsize in Quang Ninh.

Mr. Vu Huu Tuyen, Chairman of the Hanoi Transport Corporation Trade Union, said that in the tourist boat capsized in Quang Ninh on the afternoon of July 19, 4 union members of the Hanoi Transport Corporation Trade Union were killed, including Le Viet Anh, Tu Ba Thach, Hoang Viet Hung, and Nguyen Huu Toan. Before the tragic accident, all 4 union members had asked the company for leave to travel with their families.

More tragically, the entire family of member Le Viet Anh (including a couple and two children) and the family of member Hoang Viet Hung (including a couple and two children) were all killed; member Tu Ba Thach and his wife were killed; member Nguyen Huu Toan and his wife and two children were killed, one of Toan's children was lucky to escape and is being treated at the hospital.

At the funeral for family members of union members Le Viet Anh and Nguyen Huu Toan, the delegation of the City Labor Federation laid wreaths, burned incense and observed a minute of silence.

Sharing the loss with the relatives of the union members, Permanent Vice President in charge of the Hanoi City Labor Confederation Le Dinh Hung expressed that this is a great loss not only for the families of the victims, but also the common pain of the agencies and units where the union members are working and of the Capital Labor Union. The leaders of the City Labor Confederation sent their deep condolences and affirmed that the Labor Union will continue to accompany and support the families to overcome this difficult time.
