On the morning of September 19, the Women's Union of Ninh Giang commune (Hoa Lu district) held a ceremony to recognize 16 men as honorary members of the Vietnam Women's Union. This is the first unit in Hoa Lu district to organize the recognition of honorary members.
Accordingly, 16 honorary members were recognized to work in various positions such as Vice Chairman of the Commune People's Council, Commander of the Commune Military Command, Chairman of the Veterans Association, Chairman of the Farmers' Association, Civil Judicial Officer of the Commune, Party cell secretary, village and hamlet chief, etc. They are prestigious people who have made many contributions and positive impacts on the work of the Association and the women's movement in recent times.
At the recognition ceremony, the leaders of the Hoa Lu District Women's Union hoped that the honorary members would actively support and accompany the cadres and female members of Ninh Giang commune, contributing to building an increasingly strong Union organization, for the goal of gender equality and for the advancement of women.
The honorary members also expressed their honor and sense of responsibility in promoting their roles in their positions to contribute to the women's movement and the Association's work in general.
Developing honorary members is a special new point in the Charter of the Vietnam Women's Union, which has added provisions on honorary members to recognize and honor those who have influence and actively contributed to the women's movement and the activities of the local Women's Union. Thereby, it aims to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of the Union's activities, mobilize men to accompany all levels of the Union, members, and women in the activities and movements of the Union, and actively contribute to the implementation of gender equality. Through the admission of honorary members, it aims to contribute to building an increasingly strong Union.
