Bac Irrigation Company Limited ensures irrigation for more than 51,369 hectares of rice

The conference was chaired by Mr. Nguyen Xuan Long - in charge of the Company, with the participation of representatives of affiliated irrigation enterprises.

In 2024, Bac Nghe An Irrigation Company Limited successfully completed the task of effectively managing and exploiting the irrigation system, contributing to ensuring water resources for agricultural production and people's lives in the area.

The Company currently manages and operates 23 large and small dams, including many key reservoirs such as Vuc Mau, Ve Vung, and Xuan Duong. In addition, the Company also manages 6 key projects of large drainage systems in Dien Chau and Quynh Luu, along with 56 km of the main canal to Do Luong. In the past year, the Company has ensured irrigation for more than 51,369 hectares of cultivated land in 4 districts and 1 town, and drainage for nearly 18,283 hectares of urban residential areas.

To improve the efficiency of irrigation, the Company has proactively strengthened management and rational exploitation of water resources; promptly repaired degraded items; coordinated with local authorities to dredge canals, propagate to people to use water economically and protect irrigation works. During the rainy season, the Company safely operated reservoirs, especially Vuc Mau reservoir, proactively regulated, and prevented flooding in downstream areas.

In parallel with performing professional tasks, the Company always cares about the lives of employees, ensuring that 100% of employees have stable jobs. The average income reaches 7.1 million VND/person/month, exceeding the target set in the Resolution of the 2024 Labor Conference. The regimes on social insurance (SI), health insurance (HI), and unemployment insurance (UI) are all fully implemented.

Mr. Nguyen Xuan Long - in charge of Bac Nghe An Irrigation Company, said: "In 2025, the Company aims to provide irrigation and drainage services for more than 70,347 hectares, including 52,063 hectares of production land and 18,283 hectares of residential and urban areas. In addition, the Company continues to strive to maintain stable jobs for all employees, increase average income, and continuously improve salary payment and welfare policies to ensure full benefits for employees."
