According to the financial report for the first 6 months of this year, Ho Chi Minh City Lottery Company Limited (Ho Chi Minh City Lottery Company) recorded 5,474 billion VND in net revenue from sales and service provision, an increase of 224 billion VND over the same period last year.
The main revenue of Ho Chi Minh City Lottery Company comes from traditional lottery and scratch-off lottery ticket business, reaching 5,376 billion VND. Only 34 billion VND is earned from office rental activities and 64 billion VND from printing services.
Compared to the same period last year, the lottery business expenses and cost of goods sold of Ho Chi Minh City Lottery Company increased by 75 billion VND. However, the cost of printing activities decreased by 10 billion VND. The company's gross profit reached 1,027 billion VND.
After deducting expenses, in the first half of this year, Ho Chi Minh City Lottery Company recorded a profit after tax of VND786.7 billion, an increase of VND125 billion over the same period. This is considered the highest profit of this enterprise since its establishment.
Converted to a LLC model since 2010, Ho Chi Minh City Lottery Company is a member of Ho Chi Minh City State Finance Investment Company (HFIC).
In addition to office leasing, Ho Chi Minh City Lottery Company is allowed to organize lottery business activities such as traditional lottery, lottery with immediate results (scratch lottery, peel lottery) within the area from Binh Thuan, Lam Dong and Binh Phuoc provinces.
As of the end of June 2024, the total assets of Ho Chi Minh City Lottery Company reached 3,092 billion VND. Of which, the company's cash and bank deposits are currently more than 1,110 billion VND.
