Notably, during the April 30 - May 1 holiday, many tourists chose tours to Dongxing City (China) which were very crowded, leading to traffic jams in the early morning.
A representative of the Mong Cai International Border Gate Management Board said that in recent days, an average of 10,000 people have gone through customs clearance procedures each day; most of them are tourists and border residents. It is expected that in the coming days, the number of tourists will increase even more.
Meanwhile, information from the Mong Cai International Border Gate Border Guard Station said that the number of visitors during this holiday has increased dramatically compared to previous years, so the unit has increased its forces and added more booths to handle procedures for tourists leaving the country.
To stimulate the border tourism brand, Mong Cai City has built new products in this segment, such as: border tourism associated with golf tourism products, self-driving cars, Vietnamese - Chinese cuisine; border tourism products associated with the tour program of Mong Cai City (Vietnam) - Dong Hung City and Fangcheng area (China); cultural, ecological tourism products, community experiences associated with four-season tourism (border sim flower festival, Po Hen market...).
