In recent days, in the contest "Pioneering teachers of innovation and digital transformation" for the 2025-2026 school year, teachers of Thuan Kieu Primary School, Dong Hung Thuan Ward, Ho Chi Minh City, had many practical lessons for parents to observe and learn with their children.
In Vietnamese class there is music and experiential activities.
This morning (November 6), in the Vietnamese lesson of class 1/1, Ms. Ngo Thuy Ngoc Tran taught about the rhymes "uc" and "uc". In order for students to know how to communicate with friends, name objects shown in pictures, and use keywords appearing in the lesson such as "ink dog", "bamboo tree", "chrysanthemum", "gymnasium"..., the elementary school teacher showed students an AI video . From the picture in the textbook, she gave the AI "commands" to make a video, where animals could run and jump vividly.

During the break, the teacher invited students to name some songs that rhyme with "uc" and "uc", and at the same time, the whole class sang a song "Morning Exercise" and exercised to keep their bodies healthy.
The elementary school teacher also has a transition between teaching students to spell, read fluently, practice writing on the board, comment on other students writing on the board... Notably, the teacher's AI application part at the end of the lesson. Ms. Tran lets the students sing karaoke together the song "Em hoc rhyme "uc", "uc". On the background music of the song "Ca nha thuong nhau", she writes new lyrics, with rhymes "uc", "uc", and commands the AI to create an easy-to-learn, easy-to-remember video.
The teacher asked AI to create a music video to help students memorize the rhymes "uc" and "uc" on the song " The whole family loves each other"
Art lessons near nature
In the innovation and digital transformation competition, there were many lessons that showed the creativity of primary school teachers in Ho Chi Minh City. For example, on November 5, Ms. Le Thi Vuot, art teacher of class 5/1, changed the classroom space, let the students go out into the hall, comfortably sit on low tables to create pictures of wild animals in Africa... after watching real-life video images.

In the 3rd grade math class, in the STEM lesson, Ms. Ngo Thi Hoa let the students make products to decorate the study corner. From here, they had a visual experience with "a portion of something", and at the same time applied Plickers software in the lesson.
On November 3, Ms. Nguyen Thi Thuy Hien, teacher of class 1/3, brought to the math lesson the topic "Numbers up to 10" with the interactive whiteboard application to correct the lesson, AI videos were used gently and reasonably. Or before that, in the English lesson of grade 5, applying the station-based teaching method, Ms. Pham Thi Thu taught the lesson "Could you give me a melon, please?" using technology quite flexibly and reasonably.

Parents attending the open lessons and digital transformation applications of teachers were surprised by the creativity and innovation of today's teaching methods. In addition, it was impressive that despite the large class, the teacher managed the students well, and in just 35-40 minutes could integrate and link knowledge between many subjects, in Vietnamese and math there was music and physical education; in English and fine arts, digital citizenship skills were also integrated... helping students to apply them in many aspects of life.
Primary Education : Using Technology but Not Abusing It
Ms. Le Thi Thoa, Principal of Thuan Kieu Primary School, said that the contest "Pioneering teachers of innovation and digital transformation" for the 2025-2026 school year aims to encourage teachers to change their thinking, boldly apply new teaching methods and forms, such as STEM/STEAM, project-based learning, flipped classrooms... to improve the quality and effectiveness of lectures.
At the same time, each teacher must be a technology pioneer, promoting the application of digital transformation, AI and information technology in teaching, classroom management and personalizing learning for students.
Ms. Thoa said that the contest is an opportunity for the school board and professional groups to evaluate and improve the quality of the teaching staff in terms of criteria such as whether the teaching of the 2018 General Education program is good or not, the ability of teachers to access and apply technology in teaching, and whether the organization of educational activities is appropriate or not. At the same time, this contest will encourage, replicate, and develop good practices, and recognize and reward outstanding individuals in the application of technology.

Notably, Ms. Thoa informed that right from the training on technology and AI, the school has thoroughly instructed the teaching staff to exploit and apply technology but not abuse technology. Technology and AI are means to help students access lessons effectively, increase students' interest, but it is not true that the more technology teachers use in class, the better. There are traditional, natural methods that are more effective for students and can be completely applied.
The theme of the contest is "Creative space, breakthrough methods, proactive technology" with 2 rounds. The awards for innovative teachers and digital transformation will be presented on November 20, Vietnam Teachers' Day. The school is expected to present awards such as Outstanding Creative Teacher; Excellent Technology Application Teacher; Inspirational Lesson; Flexible Classroom Ideas...
