On June 8, in Hanoi, Da Phong Cach Media Joint Stock Company held a press conference to announce the launch of the Miss Tourism Vietnam 2026 contest - one of the typical cultural - tourism events, aiming to promote the image of the country, people and culture of Vietnam to international friends.
The Miss Tourism Vietnam contest is a beauty pageant and a journey to awaken patriotism, community awareness and the desire to reach out to the world of the young generation.
Speaking at the announcement of the contest, Mr. Dam Phuong Anh, Head of the Organizing Committee of the contest, said that with the theme "Vietnam Shines Brightly", the Miss Tourism Vietnam 2026 contest is not only looking for a beauty queen, but also looking for an inspirational person, a cultural and tourism ambassador who is capable of telling the story of Vietnam with their heart, aspirations and actions in the new era.
According to Mr. Dam Phuong Anh, the goal of this contest is to crystallize core values, honoring the beauty not only of the body but also of the intelligence, soul and courage of each contestant, to carry out the noble mission and humanistic values of the contest, bringing pride in the beauty of the homeland and country to spread throughout the country and the world.
The Miss Tourism Vietnam 2026 contest is for female Vietnamese citizens or people of Vietnamese origin living and working abroad; aged 18 to 28; 1.65m or taller; natural beauty, not having undergone cosmetic surgery or gender reassignment, not married, not having given birth. Candidates who have won the titles of Miss, Runner-up, Miss, and Runner-up at beauty contests at school, unit, and provincial levels... from 2021 to 2024 will go straight to the semi-finals.
According to the Organizing Committee, the entrance exam will be held online and offline, allowing candidates from all over the country and overseas Vietnamese to participate.
The preliminary round for the Southern region is scheduled for November 2025, followed by the preliminary round for the Northern region in December 2025. The semi-finals of the contest are scheduled for December 27, 2025. The final round of the Miss Tourism Vietnam 2026 contest is scheduled to be held on the evening of January 10, 2026, in Quang Ninh , with the Ao Dai, swimsuit, evening gown and behavioral competitions.
The jury of the contest includes People's Artist Nguyen Quang Vinh, former Director of the Department of Performing Arts (Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism), Chairman of the Hanoi Music Association, Chairman of the Jury; Lawyer Nguyen Chien, Chairman of the Advisory Board; MC Thao Van; Miss Jennifer Pham; Runner-up Tu Anh; Meritorious Artist Viet Anh.
Regarding the difference from other beauty contests, People's Artist Nguyen Quang Vinh, Chairman of the Jury, said that the name itself shows the criteria and meaning of the contest. "We want to find people with the potential to become Tourism Ambassadors, who are both beautiful and have the ability to convey their content about tourism, in order to stimulate the country's spearhead economy," People's Artist Nguyen Quang Vinh shared.
The organizing committee will find the final top 3 to award the titles of Miss and 1st and 2nd Runner-up. In addition, the contest also has subsidiary awards: Miss Body, Miss Lovely Face, Miss Talent, Miss Charity, Miss Fashion, Most Favorite Miss, Miss Best Evening Gown and Miss Vietnamese Ao Dai.
