Accordingly, Da Nang city is currently studying the urban area project on Da Nang Bay. The highlight of the project is calling for investment in building 5 floating islands, creating about 48km of new coastline, aiming at an international financial, commercial and service center complex.
However, according to the Secretary of the Da Nang City Party Committee, this is a large and unique project, so the city's leaders are directing relevant agencies to continue researching and developing plans. In particular, it is necessary to find an investment formula with separate mechanisms for development. When formed, the project will be similar to the model of Dubai currently developing.
If this is done, it will create a huge value, not only promoting the socio -economic development of the city for decades to come but also building the image and brand of the new Da Nang in the region and in the international arena. The research location of the new island in Da Nang Bay stretches from Hai Chau district, Thanh Khe to Lien Chieu.
The Secretary of the Da Nang City Party Committee said that during his recent working trip to Da Nang, General Secretary To Lam directly surveyed the area planned for coastal urban development and highly appreciated the project. The General Secretary assigned the Government to soon have solutions to support the city in implementing it.
