Da Nang prioritizes recruiting children of officials and civil servants of Quang Nam province

On May 13, the People's Committee of Da Nang City said that it had just sent a document to the Department of Education and Training and districts regarding enrollment in grades 1 and 6 for the 2025-2026 school year. In particular, it requested the Department of Education and Training and its affiliated units to prioritize admitting students who are children of officials, civil servants, and public employees (CB, CC, VC) of Quang Nam province who are subject to provincial-level administrative unit arrangement.

In the context of implementing the project to reorganize provincial administrative units, merge Quang Nam province and Da Nang city into a new administrative unit and locate the political -administrative center in Da Nang city, to ensure the right to study for children of Quang Nam province's officials, civil servants and public employees working at agencies and units subject to reorganization, Da Nang City People's Committee requested the Department of Education and Training, People's Committees of districts and towns to develop a plan to receive and prioritize enrollment for this group.

Admission of students must ensure no interruption in learning, especially at preschool, primary and secondary levels. At the same time, instruct schools to be flexible in receiving applications, creating favorable conditions for school transfer and admission; coordinate with the Department of Education and Training of Quang Nam province to count the number of students who need to transfer to Da Nang to study.
Notably, students who are children of officials, civil servants, and employees of Quang Nam province who want to move to Da Nang city will be given priority in schools near their parents' residence or workplace. Da Nang city authorities require that teaching and learning be organized to ensure 2 sessions/day for primary school students; ensuring appropriate student numbers at all levels.

The People's Committee of Da Nang City requires localities to accurately investigate the number of children by age, divide routes and assign reasonable quotas to avoid overload and ensure enough places to study. Enrollment must be public and transparent about enrollment routes, quotas, time, methods, and responsibilities in implementation.
