Many activities to support disadvantaged women to develop the economy in Huong Khe

From 2021-2024, the programs on livelihood support, housing support; loan support for poor, near-poor and disadvantaged female members were effectively implemented by the Women's Union of Huong Khe district, achieving many outstanding results.

In particular, the women's associations at all levels have mobilized women to build 56 green house models, which operate effectively. These are houses designed with steel frames about 2-3 ^m2 wide, covered with nets and placed in convenient locations for people to dispose of scrap. After being collected, the scrap will be sold by the women's associations at the grassroots level to raise funds to support and help women and children in difficult circumstances. To date, the associations in Huong Khe have allocated funds to support 626 poverty reduction livelihood models with a total amount of nearly 500 million VND.

In particular, the association at all levels coordinated to support preferential loans for economic development through the Social Policy Bank for 3,374 women's member households with an amount of 194 billion VND.

At the same time, the association levels have connected and called for support for 15 charity houses for poor members with a total amount of 650 million VND; supported loans for 50 poor and near-poor member households with a total amount of 800 million VND from the Compassionate Heart Fund (Green Living Charity), the Ao Dai Charm Fund, and the Disaster Prevention Fund.

Up to now, there are 60 cooperatives owned by women in the area (including 7 successful OCOP products), bringing economic efficiency and creating jobs for hundreds of other women.
