Da Nang: Freight transport recovers strongly

DNVN - According to the Da Nang Statistical Office, the freight transport situation in May and the first 5 months of 2025 showed strong signs of recovery, clearly reflecting the restart of the supply chain, production and trade in the area.

According to the Da Nang Statistical Office, despite being affected by Decree 168/2024/ND-CP, the freight transport market (excluding air and rail transport) is showing remarkable resilience thanks to the impressive growth of large enterprises, while creating a positive spillover effect to small and medium-sized enterprises in the industry.

Freight transport in Da Nang is recovering strongly.

Revenue from road freight transport in May 2025 is estimated at over 750 billion VND, up more than 3% over the previous month and up nearly 17% over the same period last year. During the month, some road freight transport enterprises had quite high revenue growth compared to the same period in 20242, such as Central Container Joint Stock Company with an increase of nearly 29%, Tan Minh Toan Transport Business Company with an increase of nearly 40%%, Binh Vinh Joint Stock Company with an increase of more than 64%...

The outstanding growth of these large companies not only contributes to the overall indexes but also creates a spillover effect, promoting the development of other small and medium-sized transport enterprises in the supply chain. In the first 5 months of 2025, freight transport revenue is estimated at nearly 3,500 billion VND, an increase of 21.5% over the same period in 2024.

In May 2025, the volume of goods transported by road is estimated at 4.6 million tons, up nearly 3% over the previous month and up nearly 144% over the same period last year. The volume of goods transported by road is estimated at nearly 420 million tons.km, up 0.4% over the previous month and up 12.1% over the same period last year.

In the first 5 months of 2025, the volume of goods transported by road is estimated at 21.3 million tons, an increase of 18.2% over the same period last year.
