According to the Da Nang Statistical Office, despite being affected by Decree 168/2024/ND-CP, the freight transport market (excluding air and rail transport) is showing remarkable resilience thanks to the impressive growth of large enterprises, while creating a positive spillover effect to small and medium-sized enterprises in the industry.

The outstanding growth of these large companies not only contributes to the overall indexes but also creates a spillover effect, promoting the development of other small and medium-sized transport enterprises in the supply chain. In the first 5 months of 2025, freight transport revenue is estimated at nearly 3,500 billion VND, an increase of 21.5% over the same period in 2024.
In May 2025, the volume of goods transported by road is estimated at 4.6 million tons, up nearly 3% over the previous month and up nearly 144% over the same period last year. The volume of goods transported by road is estimated at nearly 420 million tons.km, up 0.4% over the previous month and up 12.1% over the same period last year.
In the first 5 months of 2025, the volume of goods transported by road is estimated at 21.3 million tons, an increase of 18.2% over the same period last year. “This rise not only affirms Da Nang’s key role in the regional logistics network but also opens up prospects for sustainable development thanks to the driving force of high-tech industry, attracting foreign direct investment (FDI) and strategic infrastructure investment,” said the Da Nang Statistical Office.
