Regarding admission methods, the school will keep the same methods as in 2024.
In addition to the direct admission method according to the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training, which takes about 3% of the total quota, the remaining methods are admission based on the 2025 high school graduation exam scores and combined admission based on the admission information of the National Economics University, without dividing the quota as in previous years.
According to National Economics University, direct admission subjects include:
Candidates who won first, second, and third prizes in the National and International Excellent Student Competitions organized and nominated by the Ministry of Education and Training; the time of winning the prize is no more than 3 years from the time of direct admission; and graduated from high school in 2025 will be considered for direct admission to University majors.
Candidates who won first prize in the National and International Science and Technology Competition organized and nominated by the Ministry of Education and Training, the time of winning the prize is not more than 3 years from the time of direct admission; and graduated from high school in 2025 will be considered for direct admission to the majors according to the list announced by the University.
Admission principles: admission by major, by order of registration wishes and by candidates' awards.
The school directly admits candidates specified in Point a, Clause 4, Article 8 of the current University Admissions Regulations.
Specifically: Candidates are people with extremely severe disabilities, have a certificate of disability from a competent authority as prescribed, are able to study certain majors at the University but are not able to apply for admission through the normal admission method.
Regarding academic performance: Each year of high school, the total score of the school year must be from 6.0 (six point zero) or higher, the score of 3 subjects in grade 12 corresponding to 3 subjects in the admission combination, each subject must be 6.5 (six point five) points or higher;
Regarding conduct: Each year of high school, conduct must be good or better;
Regarding health: Have a certificate from a competent authority on disability; Health certificate from a hospital at district level or higher and a commitment from the candidate and family to be responsible for the candidate's health during the study period.
About direct admission
The school admits candidates from very small ethnic minorities according to current government regulations and candidates from 20 poor border and island districts in the Southwest region.
Candidates who have had a permanent residence for 3 years or more, studied for 3 years and graduated from high school in poor districts (boarding students of ethnic minorities are calculated based on their permanent residence) according to regulations of the Government and Prime Minister.
These candidates must take a 1-year supplementary course before entering the official program. The supplementary course is determined by the Director.
Direct admission criteria
The University recruits all majors, each major has 2 quotas, each district has 2 quotas. Special cases are decided by the Director.
Admission requirements:
Regarding academic performance: Candidates must be Kinh ethnic with a total score of 7.0 (seven point zero) or higher in each year of high school, in which 3 subjects in grade 12 correspond to 3 subjects.
In the University admission combination, each subject must achieve 7.0 (seven point zero) points or higher; Candidates who are ethnic minorities must have a total score of each year of high school of 6.0 (six point zero) or higher, and the scores of 3 subjects in grade 12 must correspond to 3 subjects in the University admission combination, each subject must achieve 6.0 (six point zero) points or higher.
Regarding conduct: High school years achieved good conduct or better.
In addition, the school directly admits foreign candidates who must meet the foreign language proficiency standards according to the requirements of the training program and major prescribed by the University and in accordance with the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training. Those who wish to study at the National Economics University on a self-funded basis will be considered for direct admission to their desired major.
Admission requirements
Regarding academic performance, graduated from high school or equivalent; Each year of high school, academic performance is average or above;
Have Vietnamese knowledge and proficiency test results at level 4 or higher.
In 2025, National Economics University will have a total of 73 enrollment codes, an increase of 7 codes compared to 2024.
The new admission codes include 2 new training majors in Vietnamese: International Trade Law and Labor Relations; 2 advanced training program codes (including 5 programs), and 3 high-quality training program codes (16 programs).
The total enrollment target for 2025 is 8,500, an increase of about 6% compared to 2024 (7,950 enrollment targets). Of which, the regular university target is 8,200, and the regular university transfer system is 300.
Last year, the highest benchmark score at the National Economics University was in Public Relations at 28.18, while the remaining majors were all no less than 26.57.
On a scale of 30, Public Relations has the highest score of 28.18 points, followed by E-commerce with 28.02. The remaining majors all have scores of 26.57 or higher. This is the total score of three graduation exam subjects according to the combination (depending on the major), including priority points (if any).
With a scale of 40, the highest admission threshold is 37.49 in Marketing Communications. Many other majors have a benchmark score above 36, such as Business Administration, Valuation, Hotel and Event Management.
The lowest in this group is Software Engineering with 34.06.
