On February 19, Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics (UEH) officially announced the launch of a full-time graduate student program.
Recruiting 7 - 8 full-time PhD students/year
The school hopes that with the comprehensive support of the full-time graduate student program, students will be able to focus completely on studying and researching, helping to improve the quality of their thesis, promote scientific publication, expand their academic network and career opportunities at UEH.
UEH is currently recruiting for the 2025 full-time research program with a limited number of about 7-8 full-time researchers/year. Candidates admitted to the UEH research program must meet the standards of education, age, research experience and foreign language proficiency as prescribed.
The full-time PhD program is a doctoral training program for researchers who wish to spend most of their time conducting research, writing dissertations, and participating in academic activities.
UEH has implemented a full-time PhD program since 2018. From 2025, with many improvements compared to the previous phase, the program is designed to create the best conditions for research focusing on research and development.
100% tuition funding, research funding, salary payment for graduate students
Associate Professor Dr. Bui Quang Hung - Deputy Director of UEH - said: "With the full-time PhD program, UEH is committed to creating an intensive academic environment, helping PhD students to fully concentrate on research and publish high-quality scientific works, while opening up career opportunities at UEH; thereby promoting international publication cooperation and enhancing the school's academic position.

Comprehensive financial support: full-time PhD students are sponsored 100% of tuition fees and enjoy research and international publication funding along with a fixed monthly income. In addition, PhD students are also supported with accommodation, holidays, Tet according to regulations and annual health insurance.
Professional research environment: PhD students are facilitated to participate in academic activities, seminars, research groups, expand academic networks and receive feedback from experts in the UEH scientific research ecosystem.
Career development opportunities: PhD students have the opportunity to teach, guide students, and participate in applied research to help develop teaching and leadership skills and expand career opportunities.
In particular, after graduation, graduate students can become lecturers or full-time researchers at UEH.
