Ho Chi Minh City National University implements Resolution 57: Implementing the State - School

Associate Professor, Dr. Vu Hai Quan, Director of VNU-HCM signed a cooperation agreement with a representative of a business.

The program aims to effectively implement Resolution 57 on breakthroughs in science, technology, innovation and national digital transformation, while linking with Resolution 68 of the Central Committee on private economic development based on the "3-house" cooperation model: State - School - Enterprise.

Attending the program were comrades: Nguyen Van Nen, Politburo member, Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee; Tran Luu Quang, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Policy and Strategy Committee, Deputy Head of the Central Steering Committee on Science and Technology Development, Innovation and Digital Transformation; leaders of provinces and cities; representatives of domestic and international enterprises and corporations, and scientists.

According to Associate Professor, Dr. Vu Hai Quan, Director of VNU-HCM, Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW dated December 22, 2024 of the Politburo on breakthrough in science , technology, innovation and national digital transformation (referred to as Resolution 57) and Resolution No. 68-NQ/TW have demonstrated the aspiration to realize the goal of Vietnam developing and having high income by 2045. This requires innovation in breakthrough development models, the core of which is the innovation ecosystem built on the basis of effective coordination between the State, the University and Enterprises. Along with the country's development journey, VNU-HCM identifies its mission of creating important scientific research works and serving society, being a pioneer in innovation, making important contributions to the country's development, and promoting social progress. The “3-house” cooperation model is identified by VNU-HCM as a strategic triangle, the core of the national innovation ecosystem. The three parties operate according to the principle of “co-design - co-implement - co-shared value”.

Assessing the "3-house" linkage program, Comrade Nguyen Thanh Nghi, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee, said that the program is an important step forward in the journey to realize the Party's major orientation on science and technology, innovation, and national digital transformation in general and in Ho Chi Minh City in particular. The program not only affirms political determination but is also a vivid demonstration of the consensus and joint efforts between important entities: the State, Schools and Enterprises, the three pillars in implementing Resolution 57 of the Politburo. From this model, together with actual implementation, there will be appropriate and practical contributions to Ho Chi Minh City in the process of implementing Resolution 57.

In his concluding remarks at the program, comrade Tran Luu Quang emphasized: The program of VNU-HCM has shown the trust and excitement from businesses to universities when they are determined to move towards the future development of the country. This cooperation needs a separate path like fire trucks and ambulances to create a close and effective connection and for all parties to achieve the set goals...
