The 12th Uncle Ho's Good Children Congress in 2025

Dien Bien TV - On the morning of March 29, the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union - Dien Bien Provincial Pioneer Council organized the 12th Uncle Ho's Good Children Congress in 2025. Attending the Congress were comrades: Tran Quoc Cuong, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Mua A Vang, alternate member of the Party Central Committee, member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province; Vu A Bang, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; leaders of a number of provincial departments, branches and sectors and 150 delegates who are Uncle Ho's Good Children, representing 147,000 team members, teenagers and children in the whole province.

Comrade Tran Quoc Cuong, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee spoke at the Congress.

In the period of 2020 - 2025, with the active activities of 266 teams; the efforts of 147,000 team members, teenagers, and children, the work of the Team and the children's movement in the whole province developed comprehensively, achieving many outstanding achievements.

The movement "Repaying gratitude" - "When drinking water, remember its source" has been implemented by schools, the Youth Union, and the Youth Union Council at all levels through many activities with profound humanistic meanings. Responding to the movement "Study well - work well", the Youth Unions have established and maintained nearly 6,000 study clubs, hobby clubs and Children's Rights clubs. 100% of the Youth Unions organize reading, learning and working activities according to the Youth Union newspaper, contributing to forming the habit of reading for over 400,000 children.

The "Small Plan" movement has been maintained and implemented in the teams; the Provincial Youth Union Standing Committee and the Dien Bien Provincial Team Council have mobilized the construction of 27 Red Scarf Houses and Happy Houses with a total value of 1.35 billion VND. The whole province has established and maintained more than 2,000 cultural and artistic clubs with nearly 350,000 children participating; 100% of the Teams have organized communication activities for children about the harmful effects of drugs, beer, alcohol, stimulants and social evils... Along with that, many meaningful movements, new, creative and useful activity models have been deployed, creating a vibrant competitive atmosphere at the Team bases.

Speaking at the Congress, Provincial Party Secretary Tran Quoc Cuong praised and congratulated the outstanding achievements that the team members, teenagers and children in the province have achieved in the past time; at the same time, he affirmed: The Party and State always pay attention and continue to implement many major policies on the work of caring for,educating and protecting children. Therefore, the responsibility of all levels, sectors and localities in the province needs to focus on doing well their tasks to train and foster the future generations of the country.

The Provincial Party Secretary requested that Party committees, authorities and the entire provincial political system continue to pay attention, focus on leadership, direction and do better in caring for, educating and protecting children and adolescents. Increase investment in facilities, schools, playgrounds, living conditions, health care, etc. to create the best environment for children and adolescents to study, play, practice and grow up, especially children in especially difficult circumstances, children living in remote, isolated and border areas. The Provincial Youth Union Standing Committee and the Provincial Youth Union Council need to continue to innovate and improve the quality of content and methods of operation of Youth Union and Youth Union organizations at all levels in the province. Strengthen supervision of the implementation of the Law on Children and other regulations of the Party and State on child care, education and protection; proactively propose policies and programs to care for and support children's comprehensive development.

Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Vu A Bang presented Certificates of Merit of the Provincial People's Committee to individuals with outstanding achievements.

The Provincial Party Secretary also hopes that the young people and children will continue to strive to study, practice, and make more efforts to implement the 5 teachings of Uncle Ho, be exemplary in the activities and emulation movements of the school, class, and the Ho Chi Minh Young Pioneer Team, and be worthy of being the next generation, promoting the heroic revolutionary tradition of their grandfathers and fathers, contributing to building their homeland Dien Bien, and building an increasingly prosperous and beautiful country.

On this occasion, the Provincial People's Committee awarded Certificates of Merit to 1 collective and 14 individuals with outstanding achievements in implementing the Movement "Dien Bien Children compete to follow Uncle Ho's 5 teachings" for the period 2020 - 2025. The Provincial Executive Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union awarded Certificates of Merit to 180 team leaders and team members, teenagers and children with outstanding achievements in implementing the Movement "Dien Bien Children compete to follow Uncle Ho's 5 teachings" for the period 2020 - 2025.
