The 8th Congress of Tuyen Quang Provincial Bar Association

Attending the Congress were comrades: Le Thi Thanh Tra, member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Hoang Viet Phuong, member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; leaders and representatives of provincial departments, branches and sectors; Bar Associations of Ha Giang and Yen Bai provinces.

In the 2019-2024 term, the Provincial Bar Association has actively and proactively followed the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's laws; directives and resolutions of the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, and People's Committee; the charter and annual key plans and tasks of the Vietnam Bar Federation and the Bar Association, well implemented the functions and tasks of the Association and achieved good results. Currently, the Provincial Bar Association has 29 members and 11 law practice organizations. The law practice organizations and member lawyers have participated in the proceedings of 664 cases, including 245 criminal cases; 363 civil cases; 36 administrative cases; provided legal advice for 351 cases; provided legal advice and legal services for 584 cases. In the 2024-2029 term, the Provincial Bar Association strives to admit 5 to 8 lawyers and develop 2 to 3 law practice organizations; each member lawyer strives to participate in consulting and providing free legal aid to people in 60-100 cases...

Speaking at the Congress, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Internal Affairs Committee, Head of the Provincial People's Council's Legal Committee Phung Tien Quan acknowledged and commended the contributions of the Provincial Bar Association as well as lawyers to the socio-economic development and national defense and security of the province. He suggested that, immediately after the Congress, the Provincial Bar Association should develop an action program for the entire term; develop detailed plans for each year; consolidate and develop additional members; assign specific tasks to each member of the Executive Committee to implement the Congress's resolution, and soon put the resolution into practice. In particular, focusing on preparing good conditions to successfully organize the Provincial Bar Association Party Cell Congress for the 2025-2030 term according to the set plan; Focus on doing well the work of political ideology education, professional ethics, professional training, political theory for the team of lawyers, to ensure the true courage, steadfastness, determination to fight against the plots and tricks of hostile forces, to build and develop the team of lawyers to be increasingly strong in both quantity and quality.

The Provincial Bar Association needs to improve the efficiency of its operations, promote the self-management role of the social-professional organization of lawyers in supervising the professional activities of law practice organizations and member lawyers; promptly commend and reward typical lawyers with the courage to protect the legitimate rights and interests of individuals and organizations, protect justice, and protect socialist legality...

He requested that all levels, sectors and localities continue to pay attention to and create favorable conditions for the development of social-professional organizations of lawyers to become a solid bridge between the Party, the State and the team of lawyers with the People; support and create favorable conditions for lawyers to perform well the political and legal tasks assigned by the Party, the State and Party committees and authorities.

The Congress elected the Executive Board of the 8th Bar Association, consisting of 3 lawyers; elected the Reward and Discipline Council, consisting of 3 lawyers. Lawyer Vu Trung Kien, Director of Vu Kien Law Company Limited, was elected as Chairman of the 8th Provincial Bar Association, term 2024 - 2029. The Congress elected 1 alternate delegate to attend the 4th Congress of the Vietnam Bar Federation.
