This morning, at the National Military Training Center 4 (Hanoi), for the first time, the military and police parade units participated in a comprehensive training session to prepare for the celebration of the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day, September 2.
The training consisted of two parts with over 15,600 participants.
The first part includes contents related to Party rituals and ceremonies, which are undertaken by the Ministry of National Defense .
The second part is the practice of parade and marching. This time the formation has 18 standing blocks and 43 walking blocks. Notably, after 40 years (from 1985 to present), the parade formation has the appearance of military artillery and special police vehicles.

Since 6am this morning, the sun has been high in the sky, the heat is intense. Overcoming the difficulties of weather, accommodation and high intensity training, officers and soldiers strictly follow discipline, diligently practice and master the command movements.
After the rehearsal, on behalf of the Central Military Commission and the leaders of the Ministry of National Defense, General Nguyen Tan Cuong - Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army, Deputy Minister of National Defense, commended the sense of responsibility, results and achievements of the units.

He shared that after more than 1 month of intensive training, the officers and soldiers always showed great efforts and determination to overcome many difficulties, in harsh weather conditions, taking advantage of time to actively practice with high intensity to aim for the goal of "correct, even, strong, beautiful, unified"; demonstrating the discipline as well as the strength of the people's armed forces.
The units have selected additional officers and soldiers who are exemplary in political qualities, lifestyle ethics and sense of organization and discipline; and who meet the standards of height, appearance and health to participate in the parades.
After completing the basic training phase at the unit, from June 5, the forces organized to move to the training locations, with a large number of troops, weapons, equipment, materials and vehicles, ensuring strict and absolute safety. At the same time, the forces urgently entered training according to the set program, with the determination to excellently complete the assigned tasks.
"Comrades, especially female comrades, have tried very hard, focused with high spirit and responsibility, contributing to spreading the image of women in the armed forces," the Chief of the General Staff noted.
According to General Nguyen Tan Cuong, this is the third time in a short period of time that we have organized a military parade. The first time was to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu victory, and the second time was to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the country's reunification.
He emphasized that the upcoming parade and march to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day on September 2 is an opportunity to demonstrate the solidarity and strength of the Vietnamese people.
General Nguyen Tan Cuong stated that with a larger scale, a larger formation, the participation of vehicles, weapons and equipment, and the summary and experience from the two recent parades, this time the quality requirements are also higher. The previous parades only had 9 vertical rows, this time it increased to 16 vertical rows, so the alignment is also more difficult.

“In particular, in this parade, there will not only be ground formations such as the walking block, the mechanized block, the air force block in the sky, but also the sea block. This block includes submarines, surface ships of the Navy, Coast Guard, Border Guard and the standing militia fleet, the images will be transmitted live to Ba Dinh Square” - General Nguyen Tan Cuong revealed.
Many of the limitations pointed out in previous training sessions have been basically overcome. There is not much time left until the anniversary celebration, General Nguyen Tan Cuong requested that the forces make the greatest efforts to organize the parade and marching activities commensurate with the scale and significance of the event.
The Chief of the General Staff assigned the Parade and Marching Subcommittee and agencies and units to draw specific lessons for each block, each row, each individual, and strive for better and better results in the next joint training sessions.

General Nguyen Tan Cuong assigned the General Staff to continue directing the organization of training to be truly basic, focusing on basic training of each individual, each group, each row as the basis for practicing coordinated movements within the block, achieving training targets according to the mission requirements of each block and each force.
In addition, organize comprehensive training of armed forces, preliminary and final rehearsals closely, ensuring the highest quality; well implement combat readiness plans, organize specific and close coordination, ensuring absolute safety for parades, marches and celebrations.
The general departments continued to fulfill their assigned tasks well, especially directing the provision of logistics and technical support for forces participating in parades and marches.
The General Department of Logistics and Engineering continues to direct the assurance of good military food and equipment, especially ensuring technical work for military vehicles participating in parades and marches.
