Dak Nong proposes to invest in a dynamic road connecting Gia Nghia with Lam Dong

Dak Nong Province Department of Construction has just informed about the project to build the Gia Nghia - Bao Lam dynamic road (Lam Dong province).

Connections between Dak Nong province and Lam Dong province, as well as between the Southern Central Highlands region and the South Central and Southeast regions, are currently only made via National Highway 28.

However, the National Highway 28 section has not been invested in upgrading or renovating, the road surface is narrow, affecting the flow of goods between the Central Highlands region and the ports of Vinh Tan ( Binh Thuan ), Ca Na (Ninh Thuan)...

In the planning of the Central Highlands region for the period 2021 - 2030, with a vision to 2050, and in the provincial planning of the two localities of Dak Nong and Lam Dong, the task of investing in the Gia Nghia (Dak Nong) - Bao Lam (Lam Dong) dynamic route is emphasized, connecting the Southern Central Highlands region with the South Central Coast and the Southeast.

According to the Dak Nong Department of Construction, the planned route will be newly built connecting from the gateway of Gia Nghia city across the Dong Nai river and connecting to National Highway 55 in Bao Lam district, Lam Dong province.

This route will create development momentum for the entire region, when shortening the length of the route from Gia Nghia to Bao Lam, Bao Loc. The route connects the North-South axis, connecting to Lam Dong, following National Highway 55 for about 55km to reach the Tan Phu-Bao Loc-Lien Khuong expressway intersection, creating a southeastern gateway for Dak Nong province as well as Gia Nghia city.

Dak Nong province is promoting investment in the project to build the Gia Nghia - Bao Lam dynamic road (Lam Dong province).

In addition, the route avoids all large steep passes and deep ravines on National Highway 28 in Dak Nong province as well as large steep passes and deep ravines on the Dong Nai 4 hydropower plant.

Transporting from Dak Nong to Vinh Tan Port (Binh Thuan), to Long Thanh, Vung Tau will be easier because from Gia Nghia center to the highway intersection in Bao Loc is only about 75km...

According to Dak Nong Department of Construction, Lam Dong province has agreed to let Dak Nong province be the focal agency to propose project implementation.

Therefore, Dak Nong Provincial People's Committee has sent documents to central ministries and branches for consideration and synthesis of reports to competent authorities to support investment in the above-mentioned route from the central budget for the period 2026-2030.
