Ensuring the quality of the Red River embankment in Bao Thang

The project to prevent landslides on the Red River bank in Son Ha commune is nearly 2 km long, with a total investment of 170 billion VND, and will start construction in early January 2025. At this time, the Red River is running low, so speeding up the progress is of great importance. The Construction Investment Project Management Board coordinates with the consulting unit and the construction contractor to regularly update the situation, supervise the construction, and promptly resolve any problems to ensure the progress and quality of the project.

Mr. Hoang Van Hai, Deputy Head of Project Department 4, Lao Cai Province Construction Investment Project Management Board said: "The investor will disburse the amount of money that the contractor has. In terms of land, this project is relatively favorable, although there are still some sections that have not been cleared, the investor will coordinate with local authorities to ensure that the contractor has enough land for construction."

The contractor is speeding up the construction progress.

The project will be completed and put into use in the first quarter of 2026. Currently, the construction unit has increased machinery, equipment, and human resources to open additional construction sites, taking advantage of favorable weather to construct underground foundations, and in case of floods, construction of high-altitude items can still be carried out.

Mr. Le Ngoc Trieu, technical officer, Corporation 319, Ministry of National Defense said: "The construction unit is speeding up the progress with 3 shifts, 4 teams, working day and night, trying to speed up the foundation during this dry season."

There is not much time left from now to the finish line, the excavation volume is very large, therefore, the construction project of the embankment to prevent landslides on the Red River bank is being accelerated by the contractor and construction unit. By the end of May 30, if the construction progress is not guaranteed, the contractor will mobilize more machinery and equipment, work 3 shifts, and strive to complete the project on schedule.
